Steve Yzerman is not a good GM.

He doesn't have to be a good GM to maximize his return on Larkin. All he needs to do is deal with Danny Briere and that rocket scientist, Keith Jones. Of course, he would have to convince Larkin to go to Philly ,so maybe he does need a little skill...
Why wouldn't he want to go to Philly? They're on the up and up. Unlike my grandmother's Maple Leafs.

Dude you are 5-10 guys who been yellow wolf for 6 and half years. Don't talk about being vocal.
You’re on the wrong side of the argument big guy. Absol
Kasper, Copp, Danielson and Finnie are the only true internal center options. Need 1 or 2 added for sure.

Not sure how much Larkin’s NMC really limits his value as there’s no ticking clock on a trade getting done.

Same as it was before, just with more options on how to go about it.

A better 1C is obviously not coming back (best case is someone younger with potential to better or someone close to Larkin + another piece or two). It’s just premature and dramatic to say the only direction is a new rebuild.
if we can’t make the playoffs with Larkin, how do you expect to not just make the playoffs, but actually contend without him?
