I really hope DeAngelo is a good 40pt dman.. I honestly don't know much about him, is Barrie a decent comparison?

Barrie is definitely a good comparison IMO.

Maybe, but we also likely overvalued Stepan with his point production vs contract. He's signed for pretty much the figure he'd get in UFA on the open market.

Trick is replacing him. Maybe they plan to get a center at 7 who is ready to play in the NHL.
