Looking at a team incapable of scoring for most of the game will do that. Finally we're getting a few goals from players that are supposed to score but this club has trouble with offensive production especially when they are being required to play all zone hockey. Tonight was predicable to me having trouble scoring against a tight Kings club.
We scored 3 goals 5v5 against a tight defensive team that gives up little. How is that “trouble scoring”.

This is a team that allows 2ga/60 5v5 which is second lost in the league and we scored 3.

I agree with Loui that this game had a playoff type feel to it. Minimal chances & some good ol’ emotion between Teams.

I’ll try to choose my words carefully here, but the feeling on this Board is eerily similar to the Canucks Board after Bruce was hired. I’m so happy for you folks to have confidence in your coaching staff again. I totally understand why so many of you were torn in cheering for wins under the previous regime. You wanted your Boys to win, but also recognized the need for change.

This is one of the most active Boards on HF, even when the Team was struggling. I’m really, really happy for all of you to feel confidence in your coaching staff & be able to get behind the team 100% again.

May Woodcroft & the Boys continue to improve and develop winning chemistry

Pretty simple, Peterson has been the better goalie for the past few weeks that they’ve played.

Doesn't matter. Its not a usual game. Its a game saluting your legend Player, Drew Doughty. You think him, Kopitar, and Brown don't want to see Quick in net? lmao. This was indescribably dumb by McLellan and I predicted after the first period that it would end up being a bonehead move by McLellan, again overthinking hijmself.

Of course in a 1000 game commemoration you play the team mate that backdropped you to two cups. only an idiot wouldn't.

The Kings were rusty tonight because they hadn't played a game in two weeks. you know, like how the Oilers couldn't do f***ing anything after coming off their extended break. As I recall the Oilers got blown out in those two games. you forget?
Some teams play well after an extended break, not all teams play hung over. Also have to remember we played last night too.

Manson has these boys playing low event and positionally strong big boy hockey.

I thought Lagesson, Broberg, and Niemelainen have all played admirably in the games they’ve been up for since Woodcroft and Manson took over.

Amazing how applying the KISS principle to allow these guys to play to their strengths instead of whatever Playfair was getting these guys to do is benefiting the team and them as individual players.

Need to be able to play and win these types of games. You're not going to be playing 80s hockey in the playoffs.

Well thats good. We know the Oilers don't score at all in the playoffs. Drai has never looked worse than this stint under Woodcroft. Hopefully he figures it out. Almost 3 games in which he had nothing going.

It’s time to give Woodcroft and Manson some credit and admit Tippett wasn’t very good.

If I can admit Kane made a good play in the third, you can do this too. ;)

Man it makes me so happy to be celebrating our new Head Coach while the HFKings complain about theirs, who happens to be one of our former coaches.

I thought Todd had them playing the Oilers quite well, especially on the PK, but you give Leon that kind of time to make a play with a wide open player and you're toast.
