1: Perreault hm: Gulyayev

2: Gibson hm: Heidt

3: Lardis hm: Pekarcik

4: Cagnoni hm: Rykov? Not too familiar with him, but many people I trust hyped him up

5: Allen - Not too familiar with anyone else in this round, but thought he should've gone a little earlier

6: Hanzel - In the 6th round, you shouldn't expect any output from these players, but Colorado was smart enough to draft a player that can make an impact soon

7: No Idea

1. Mitskov
2. Heidt
3. Brzustewicz
4. Cagnoni
5. Allen
6. Karpovich
7. Levis

Maybe Mitskov and Heidt has some serious character issues, but Heidt at 62th feels still so wrong. Sixth and seventh round didn't have any real steals but had to pick someone!

All I know is that the resident draft experts on the Devils board were going gaga after snagging Karpovich in the 6th.

Why Gibson? What about Étienne Morin who went a few picks later and is much better. For 7th round I’d say Jarventie

I was just a big fan of Gibson personally. I had him 28th oa on my rankings. I see him having a good chance at being a 2nd pairing defenseman.

Morin got picked where I would've picked him. I wasn't overly fond of his 5v5 play, but I could see him developing into a power-play beast and a good fantasy hockey option. I projected Morin as a bottom pairing defenseman on the PP1 (if he becomes an NHL regular).

Sorry unrelated but as a Hawks fan not very familiar with the player, what do you like about Kantserov

He's like a worse Gabe Perreault. On top of the play at all times, connects between his teammates really well and knows where to move after transitioning. Good skater, good shooter. He's just overall a smart player that understands how to create offense. He's smaller, but his brain and his playmaking could take him far.
