Like you sad the length of Denver, the depth and just the way they gel. Jokic and Murray are an unreal tandem.

Plus with Jokic you could double team him or play zone defense and then he picks you apart. If you only put one guy on him he scores.

I feel the same way. I want 7 games with rest days! in both NHL and the NBA. Or I will have withdrawals. At least until the NFL starts next season.
Ya you said it. Lakers just found out and even them I think would have ran away with the Finals against either team. Basically, can Miami hit enough shots to keep up offensively where the Lakers couldn't. Just when it seemed like they might get Jokic where they could contain him enough, Murray, MPJ, KCP, etc. would be open and hit their shots. Then a couple clanks and'or giveaways and it's getting away from you. And then they'd shift their D plan to try to alleviate the open shots and Jokic would start feasting.

Vegas’ ownership was bold and ambitious as well as incredibly wealthy. They created a mission statement to win a cup within the first 5 years and hired a management team to do so. They were also what some people might call, cut-throat.

Plus Vegas is a premium destination for athletes. Climate easy on the body, low state income tax, new arena with the best medical facilities in the league.

I hate them.

Go Cats.
Vegas is way too hot. Wouldn’t be for me.

But it’s that arid flatland that’s so easy on the joints.

My dad had blown his knee as a kid, and destroyed the rest of his body by the time he was 30. He was fortunate enough to travel through parts of the states through his life and always liked New Mexico, Nevada and Arizona as it was so much easier for him to just move.

That’s good for him, but not a reason for most of us, not interested in 100F, I’d just want to stay in with the A/C running.

Totally agree. Prefer Lethbridge and Drumheller for that reason alone - though the BC interior is also on par with central and southern Alberta.

I think retired NHL players don’t care about heat, money and a/c though lol.

People that live in these kind of places spend their time indoors with A/C in the hottest months. They aren't outside enjoying the outdoors as some (not you, just a general comment) seem to think. Summer (hot months) have the same kind of impact on people as winters do in climates further north for a lot of people.

And, I'm quite used to heat having lived in Texas for years.

Ya agree on retirees maybe, but thought the discussion was on athletes.

It is about athletes. You said most of us, to which I agreed and provided my anecdote. I don’t think any of us are current or former NHL players, ha!

You don’t think NHL players would like Vegas’ climate because it’s too hot and I think they would be indifferent to the heat because the relative elevation and lack of humidity makes it easier to move.

Yeah, I got buddies that work in West and South Texas. I literally have no idea how people do it in the badlands.

I still feel like if I were an athlete it would be an attractive area to reside.

lmao did anyone else see the opening performance? It's like VGK watched our cringey 2008 Spartan intro and said, hold my beer.

Vegas gifted a PP after a scrum with may guilty parties and give up a shortie. Looks good on them.

Battle level is rising quickly.
