Eh, again, regular season games where he was watching development for years.

He gets heated and involved, and I think he has a level to turn to when games matter in the playoffs.

He‘s a way better player than given credit for, and perhaps earned this season.

He seems to actually be a pretty fiery guy, I can’t wait to see him in the playoffs.
I am concerned about Chabot in the playoffs as he does not play a physical game and opponents will be targeting him for hard hits on the forecheck. Stutzle has shown he will take a run at guys but never Chabot.

If the Leafs don't win in 5, it's another massive choke.
Wining in 6 or 7 is OK against a team like Tampa which has playoff experience and shown they know how to win.

No it's not. They're a lower seeded team missing their top 2 D-men. Anything less than a sweep from here on out is an epic choke.

For those Nick Paul lovers he's done nothing and looks slow out there. And Tampa has him for 6 more years.
Scored 2 goals in the last 40 [!!!] games of the season. Looks like he's bringing that same energy to the playoffs.

He's the reason the Sens missed the playoffs though. Him and busted-knee Brown.

Nick Paul had a great half season for the Lightning. Too bad that he's not close to "that" guy.

It was even less than that - the majority of his offensive output came in the first 23 games. In that stretch he had 11 goals on 42 shots [26% shooting] and 18 points. In the next 59 games he posted 6 goals and 8 assists on 78 shots [7.7%] which is pretty much in line with what he always did as a Senator.

It was never anything but a heater.

My prediction? We hear very little about this player from here on out.

Well it was nice while it lasted.

Toronto is probably going to crush Tampa the rest of the way

It's possible, especially if Cernak and Hedman are done.

But every time the Leafs start to believe their own hype they start getting stupid and lazy, sooo . . . .

I really hope this is just Tampa playing a bit of possum here. Only caring for a split in Toronto and letting their key guys rest before taking it to them at home and away from the leaf influence.

Tampa were a bottom-10 team in the league from the all-star break onward. They are bad and have little to no chance of winning this series.

They are done like dinner.

They need a break, they've played infinite hockey these last three years

Dubas actually manages to fill his depth roster spots with good useful players though.

Dorion has never put a team together with good depth.
lol what? If they had any depth at all they would have actually won something their top end is unreal. He is brutal, has absolutely no clue how to build a winner. Look at how Tampa, Colorado and NYR fill out their depth. This post actually articulates your inability to value physicality to a tee.

This was actually the first year he has filled out the depth properly. Only took him 5 years.

Tampa has won 11 of their last 12 series they have played in. Toronto has lost 6 in a row.

They werent at home. they were brutal on the road. Getting the split they have a chance if Hedman or Cernak come back. If neither do though thats just too much to overcome. Leafs arent winning anything substantial this year so it wont matter if they beat them or not.

lol ok he's 28. Probably playing hurt because of how much winning hockey he's played and he actually competes. They won game 1 and he was great. This boards a joke the way they shit on guys when they leave. Joseph is a massive p***y and is absolutely brutal. Anyone who thinks that was a good trade is clueless.

Hmmm, I wonder what other team could have used a top 9 guy that can play anywhere throughout the line up, especially 2C for the first have of the season. I wonder what other team lost a 35g centre which forced a rookie to have to take that role.

If Cernak and Hedman don't return at all, won't be surprised if Perry 'accidentally' falls on an important TML player or injures them. Dude accidentally injured Pajama Boy in the past, and this might try to do it intentionally

You think Paul would have scored like he did in Tampa for the first part of the season? Or would he have been the 2 goals in 40 games guy?
