Feel like in years to come we’ll have a lot more “we drafted Boucher instead of blank in 2022!?” situations but man, Wyatt Johnson went 23rd?
Kinda seems like a joke to me, since the only team that saw anything of him that year was the Stars. He was training with their development staff.

Too bad we did this with Ben Roger, and not Wyatt haha.

This is pretty wishful thinking from a sens fans perspective.

Edmonton has Mcdavid and Draisaitl... and a bunch of other really good players. Lol come on. If they got a save they would still be playing. Also got beat by a team with a 96.5 million dollar pay role that doesnt pay state tax. Who is probably going to win it all.
Hardly! McD is good but will be alone soon. DraiS. is not young, has been injured and is slowly becoming a shooter and needs Mcd. Hyman had serious knee injuries, is not young. The Nuge is Marner, only older. Kane is older and injury history. No other forwards

Goaltending is an issue.. Defense is an issue.. team depth is an issue.. Edmonton's window opened in 2018 and will close in 2024..one more year. Then McD gets the crap beaten out of him, The Nuge, Hyman and Kane will disappear at the same time.

Toronto is Edmonton east. 2023-2024 is the last days of Pompeii...

No guarantees that Ottawa will win, but as it stands, they may be the best suited. Their window is 2024-2030.

Draisaitl is 27. Mcdavid is 26 their window isnt remotely close to being done. All you did was prove my point.

I'm excited to see 4 teams who haven't won in a while have a shot at the cup. Really hard to predict these series from my perspective.

Carolina has key injuries up front but their defense is very good and they are relentless. They don't give up any space and have 2 good goalies.

Florida has great depth offensively but lack the defensive depth. They play hard but I think their defense will be exposed with Carolina's forecheck. Bobrovsky is the key in this series. If he can keep up his play the Panthers have a good chance.

Dallas is well rounded up front and on defense. Oettinger is the best goalie in the playoffs. Seguin is finally playing better, Domi has been good as well.

Vegas IMO has the best team right now looking at the forward group and defense but they don't have the goalie.

I predict:

Vegas in 6

Florida in 7
I dont really like that any of these fan bases get to enjoy a Stanley Cup tbh. They dont deserve it. However I do like the way Dallas and Vegas are built.

This should be a good series

Giving up the puck with a purpose.. Putting it in spots where you can get it back, being on the same page and working to cut off the ice , win puck battles and being in position to help / support the puck retrieval. There are details in here that help this strategy be successful. Its not just fire it in and getting after it.

Bruce Cassidy must be grinning from ear to ear with his regular season and playoff success with the Vegas Golden Knights. Especially after being fired by the Boston Bruins and after Boston was ousted by the Florida Panthers in round one.

Wouldn't surprise me after the Boucher pick. Mann and the scouting staff LOVE gritty tenacious pests.

If we manage to acquire a 1st in a DeBrincat return, could see Kalan Lind being a target for similar reasons.
Not a lot of guys taken 15 to 28 that I'd clearly want ahead of Greig, Mercer for sure, maybe Schnieder, after that it becomes pretty subjective imo, but I'm perhaps a bit higher on Greig than most, if he can stay healthy, maybe put on a bit more muscle he has the potential to be pretty special.

It'd be Schneider and Barron for me, but I'm a sucker for mobile RD

Andersen would be a solid stopgap for us on a 2-3 yr contract.

He’ll just have turned 34 when next season starts.

Really holding the fort for this really good Canes team

Colin White with an assist on Lomberg's goal... Under review .. White contact with the goalie; goaltender interference.. Tough call .. he was aided in and looked like he's trying to get out.

Feel like we're about to see an OT winner called back for goaltender interference.

First Colin White sighting of the postseason and he's getting his own team's OT winner nullified. What a player.

The correct teams made the eastern final based on this game. These two have all the elements. Offense, good D and goaltending. Also good coaching.
