Feel pretty good about Tampa getting out with the 2 goal lead. After failing on the 5-on-3 a 1 goal lead would have felt like a failure after they played so good for most of the period.

Except it’s not remotely close to the same as the regular season. There’s way more penalties in the playoffs, especially in this series. And so many of them are chincy little hooks and holds and interferences.

Game 1 was a joke from Tampa. They looked not at all like the dominant team we see them as. When they turned it on, they have embarrassed the Leafs. Two different classes of team completely. Shame the Leafs had to play them but it is what it is.

That's exactly why the Leafs aren't out of it yet. Tampa is so prolific at mailing shit in and going through the motions we have been (for years) literally invoking the existence of a magical switch where we suddenly give a damn and play well

This feels like far above and beyond what happens in the season. I've never seen 5 consecutive games get called this tight and that's only this series. I know the other series have had issues as well.

He is a great player regardless of the score.

He's talented for sure. But great playoff players are rhe guys who score goals to tie games, or take leads.

4 of Matthew's points in this series came in game one, after Toronto already had the lead.

2 more when rhe game was already lost in game 2.

More missed calls against Tampa. As a Sens fan youre opinion means nothing cause you actively despise the leafs. I live in Ottawa but am not from there so I can see the game fairly.
