He'll never invest that kind of money in a goalie
(I'm assuming we'd want to keep him after that one year because he'd cost a shit ton of assets to acquire)

Avs goaltending situation is becoming the 2C issue we had when Kadri left. Tried players like JTC it didn’t work until we traded for Mittelstadt and hopefully that fixes the 2C problem for a while.
Now we gonna go through the same thing with goaltending. Can’t go back to Georgiev next year so he’s probably gone. We gonna experiment by brining someone new on a cheap deal, or try Annunen there. Trying Annunen for a starter will be the equivalent of trying JTC at 2C

I would kill to have Varly on our team. My favorite Avs goalie outside of Roy. He deserves to win with us.

It's safe to say at this point that Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner are not playoff performers and never will be.

Except we don’t have a JTC of the goalie to take Annunen’s spot when he can’t do the starter job, so we probably have to trade for one
