I don't think anyone is beating Chicago.

i dont either, Ducks dont have the mentality to kill off the Hawks in a 7 game series and the Blues have their hands full with Minnesota

Kane is only going to get healthier too, they look good for another cup run

Tampa could beat them if they can get going but that is it.

Rags and Habs will get destroyed in possession and tooled by a healthy Kane.

The west. Ducks Flames is going to be a crazy series.

Hawks Blues if that is what happens will also be a really good series.

That's true.
Cutting out the Canucks and Jets is cutting out a lot of dead weight, as well.

Hoping the Blues can pull this off, the 2014 Blues/Hawks series was one of the best series in recent memory next to the 2013 Kings/Hawks WCF.

But, without looking ahead to the Final, my biggest fear is that we're left with a lot of 'meh' in the conference finals and that's typically where we see some of the best hockey.

My guess is we get ducks Hawks as the WCF which should be a doozy of a series.

Blues Ducks could be great too.

Please just beat the Flames.

Please Ducks!

Tired of this ****ing lucky and overhyped team.

I think someone is gonna slap them around and really destroy them.

Though haven't even really been outposessed by Vancouver though, like they usually are by their opponents. I won't say they've been lucky in this series by any means, but they were lucky to make the playoffs. I'm expecting a Colorado like meh season for them next year.

I did predict them to beat Vancouver in 6 though. I didn't think Vancouver would make the playoffs before the season started, considering some of the fire sale and rebuild like moves that they made after new management came in.

And I expect Cryan Miller to get his ass smoked in game 5, just like he did with the Blues last year.

theres the Dubnyk we all know, terrible short side goal

Better than Schneider BRAH! Just remember that!

I'm not gonna kill him over one bad game though. I don't think he's as good as he's been since he got to Minnesota though. He was pretty average before he got there.

Remember he's just one year removed from being the worst goaltender that season. He's never been nearly as bad as he was last season, and he's also never been as good as he is this season either.

I'm not enamored with him so much as others just because of how well the Wild play in front of him. It's not Tortsesque with shot blocking and diving in front of pucks, but they really press aggressively. Almost like a PK box.

The Blues seem like they're figuring out how to get through the neutral zone against Minnesota (still not an easy task) -- because they're just too good in the d zone to try and set up and cycle.

Puck carriers need to be quick and aggressive to have a real chance at getting a decent shot through.

So come on, Tarasenko. Pull out that power move that you pulled out against the Rangers.

Remember he's just one year removed from being the worst goaltender that season. He's never been nearly as bad as he was last season, and he's also never been as good as he is this season either.

I do, however, feel for the guy. The majority of his starter career was defined in Edmonton. I'm not sure how many goalies in this league could survive the tire fire they put on nightly.

Since the Sharks are my second favorite team, I don't like the Kings. Nothing to do with the Devils in 2012, I'm over that and them beating the Rangers last year killed most of my dislike for them.

I'd still rather see them facing Anaheim or Calgary than Winnipeg or Vancouver. I think they'd be giving both of these teams a real run.

And I don't mean by playing CLOSE games with Anaheim like Winnipeg has done this series. I mean by actually WINNING some games.

Does anyone honestly believe the Kings are down 3-0 to Anaheim? Or 3-1 to Calgary? Even if you think they would have ran out of gas. It seems they ran out of gas before they playoffs got here. If they made the playoffs though, I think they refuel the tank so to speak (forgive my Pete DeBoer reference:laugh:).

At least one of Calgary or Anaheim got off super easy not having to face LAK in the first round.

Dubnyk looks hurt, this isn't good for them.

The Wild would have to use Kuemper (who clearly showed he wasn't ready to be a starter yet) or the cremated remains of Backstrom if Dubnyk goes down.

Kuemper isn't ready and Backstrom has been finished for a couple years? Is Harding still playing in the AHL? Or is he injured like usual?

He did play pretty good when he was actually healthy.

Overhyping the Kings IMO. They missed for a reason. Flames and Jets played well down the stretch and earned their spot.

They don't have an on/off switch either. They looked bad down the stretch and I don't think they could of magically turned it on.

Kings were such a great team to watch in the playoffs, they always elevated their game. much rather watch them than half these teams.

Kings >>> Flames and Jets all day, every day.
The Flames are going on some type of inexplicable run and Pavelec actually gave the Jets decent goaltending for once. Jets aren't too far off from being competitive, though.

I don't think the Kings would be as competitive this postseason as they have been, but they'd still put up a better fight than a good, what... 1/2 of the teams that are in?

I'm a big fan of Schadenfreude, though, so I'm not too bummed that LA missed.

The Flames are making the most of their time in the playoffs. It's the Jets and Canucks that are wastes of playoff spots in the West, particularly the Canucks as they've looked VERY bad in their series. Not including the second game of that series. I do like Vancouver and have a soft spot for them because of Cory and some of their fans support of us because of Cory now. I was and am still rooting for them, they've just been really awful this series. They've won more fights than scored goals I think. I did pick the Flames in 6 for that series, it's really looking like 5 though. Especially if you get the 2014 and onward version of Ryan Miller next game.

Even if the Kings lost to either the Canucks or Ducks in these series, I can't believe they would go down in 4 or 5. It would take 6 or 7 with a couple OT's during the series to decide it IMO.

Though I am starting to remember just how pathetic their offense looked in the last week. It was like the Devils on some nights, or like Pittsburgh in their current series.

I don't see how they could of played much better then the Jets or Flames are right now.

Jets took it to the ducks for the first three games and honestly I think would of beat most teams in the east with that kind of play. Flames should beat the Canucks.

This year's kings team wasn't very good.

They lost to the Oilers in a must win with three games left. They didn't deserve to get in. They played lousy hockey and got what they deserved.

Tarasenko burned a bunch of guys there.

Now 6-1.

Mike Yeo is a ****ing idiot for not taking Dubnyk out after goal 5. Game was over after the Tarasenko breakaway goal.

No reason to leave the guy in there after that.

I've been predicting the Flames to grenade for a while now. It looked to happen in December, then they got a second wind.

I also did say that it might not come this year. I never said they would definitely miss the playoffs, but I swore that one of them or the Jets would fall out and LAK would get in. Still can't believe LAK missed, but their offense was painful to watch in those last couple weeks of the season. Getting pretty much eliminated by Edmonton was really embarrassing. They could only muster up two goals against Edmonton's 8th string goaltender and one of them was a blooper reel center ice goal from Doughty.

It really made their touchdown and two point conversion on the Oilers from the week before look meaningless.

The Blues seriously look like they might score 10 goals tonight.

This has the makings of a real beat down game. One that could rattle the Wild if they can't forget about it.

They need to just try not to give up anymore goals and maybe score a couple, just to keep their confidence for the next game.
