8 points in the last 7 games, which included a 5 game point streak. He's not what he was, and not worth his contract, but his demise as a useful NHL player is not here yet.
Him and Marchessault both have been a heck of a lot better since putting them with Forsberg. Forsberg isn't scoring goals atm but he is racking up assists so it's been a net positive.

Gretz scored 8 goals his last season.
Stamps scored 40 last season.
Lead team with 5.on Bob in the first round.
Has 10 this season so far.
I have no dog in this fight other than to chime in that while Gretzky only scored 9 goals in his last season (a season in which he turned 38), he did still lead the Rangers in scoring (7 points clear of the 2nd place scorer in 10 less games).

Please return to your argument.

Gretz could have played another year. As his dad try to encourage. He wasn't " done" .....and neither is Stamps .
I have no dog on this fight either

Lot of shitting on a guy who has over 0.5 goals per game, only 22 players in NHL history has that with over 200 scored, only Ovi, Matthews, McDavid and Paternak are the other active players.
And a 60goal season.

A lot of love for Laine and his powerplay goals, im pretty sure Stamkos would have done pretty good with Suzuki Hutson and others as well.

60 at that time was huge(Malkin 50, nr 3rd 40 and 4th 37), its strange how narratives goes sometimes, stammer has wife kids rooted in the community, big difference then say Guentzel, im sure it was a big process for him, will he fall off?

well everybody does sometimes, but look at Ovy, dealing with death of beloved father can for some poeple absorb them and change performance for long time(im thinking of my self here) but look at him this season.

and 2 years before 60 he scored 51, with 45(i think in between) and somehow Kucherov(though he did not play for the team) was behind it anyway, thats incredible.

well according to latest concensus, he maybe should be a regular AHL with some stints in the ECHL, but by some strange happening he played and scored 550 goals with one team all thanks to Kucherov...

Sick rambling bro, "regular AHL" is wild, what a dumbass.

I think Stamkos would still be very successful in Tampa. He's in a bad situation and nothing is going in. This happens to players often.
This right here.

I find it humorous that a guy who has averaged just over a ppg his entire career is all of a sudden deemed trash.

New team, new teammates, new coaching staff, new everything...Sometimes there's a transition period.

Curious ... are Tampa fans still pissed off about losing Stamkos?

Pissed at how JBB did the captain and didn't even try to work a deal yeah I am still salty.

Stammer would be having a far better season here then in Nashville currently.

Stammer will always be the captain here. Will always be loved and cherished.

But he isn't worth 8 million per a season not at this age.

Stamkos has always been one of the most overrated players in the league. He was never good enough to lead Tampa to a championship until Point came along, took his spot as their #1C and Stamkos just rode Shotgun to Point and kucherov to those cup wins. 🫠

Why are you blaming Brisebois when Stamkos is the one who priced himself out of Tampa?
