So many people laughed when we got Reaves, including a lot of you guys. He was the one laughing tonight. As was I, at his post game interview, which was great. Also love how he gave a few nice shots to the ribs so that punk ass will feel it for the next few days and remember next time not to skate up to a guy like Reaves and challenge him, Reaves gave him a nice beating.

Greeeeeassy.

On a serious note, that Bread and Kakko combo was absolutely on fire in the first. If they can play like that even half the time it adds another dimension to this team.

Also I’m a big gallant fan so far. He seems to call attention to the right things and then the team notably improves on them

Trouba was the player of the game for me. Solid all around game

He was plastering guys all night, played with a really snarly edge.

Igor strong as usual.

Good to see Reaves dropem, they were energized after that

Great to see Goat get one finally. Game winner.

Kakko was everywhere again, he is feeling it. Confidence abounding.

Gap control wasn’t great at times, especially the Nemeth Nils pairing. They weren’t the only ones giving Montreal too much space.

Back pressure and shots on goal were better, they need to keep that up

Goodrow is a fiesty pain in the ass

Wish Blais was in this one, already miss seeing his body bombs

Kreider is on pace for 60 goals

Mika quietly around a point a game pace and he hasn’t really been lighting it up

Finally beat a rookie goalie in the Garden but it didn’t come easy

10-3-3? OK

And yet, almost a ppg player.
Yeah it's nice and all (I have him on my fantasy team) but you got to admit he hasn't been very good. He's been invisible almost every game.

We need him to be closer to Panarin, not LAF in terms of creating chances and taking over games.

JMHO, but this is such a nonsense question.

(a) Honestly, its 100% bad luck that Subban trips someone with his skates and they are hurt. It has nothing to do with intent to injure, you use all method you can to control someone including legs and skates. We can discuss the slewfoot aspect if there is some kind of force behind it, but really, its just a 100% coincidence that he didn't use his stick on the skate instead.

(b) The second incident isn't even intentional. I am sorry, but it isn't. I 100% agree with Reeves. What is he going to do? Blais and Subban goes into the corner and their skates bump into each other, is Reeves going to go bananas and toss the game because of that.

On Reaves—a lot of the tougher guys around the league don’t want to touch him and Subban is in no way a tough guy. In the last Calgary game I thought Gudbranson avoided Reaves by fighting the easier Tinordi. I never expected Reaves to get into a lot of fights but opponents know when he’s on the ice. If it wasn’t for the 4 games he missed with injury he would pro rate right now into the top 3 in the league for hits and he hits hard….and he only averages 10 minutes of ice.

As far as the fight tonight leading to the Kreider goal…..that’s debatable but it did stoke the bench and Kakko’s reaction was priceless.

Goodrow and Blais have upped the ante as far as physical play as well. Unfortunately Blais is done this year on a dirty play.

Good times to be a Ranger fan. Another great effort, well executed game plan and talent driven game. After each game lately I’m left with a really good feeling about just about everything around this team. Keep it up boys!

Chytil was really good tonight that whole line was. Really love what Gauthier is doing working his butt off in all 3 zones

I said this over the summer gallant is the perfect coach for Gauthier
Ditto...I said the same that it would be a big step up for us if he reached Kreider and Gauthier , two big boys that can fly and it backs the D off on many shifts ...win win for us .

he for sure dove lmao it was great
Was hilarious watching him laying on the ice with his gloves over his face and you could see him peeking out at Gallagher watching him freak out .....now that was funny !!!! Maybe that shot of Goodrow was only on Canuck TV broadcast? If so...Ranger fans missed a good video capture . The punch was thrown but Goodrow dived big time . Well played !

Nice to come here to see a post game victory chat, and not go through a shit ton of "Holy ballz, without Shesty we were toast" posts.

Seeing Kaapo doing well makes my heart happy. And it's usually blacker than coal.

Shesty was popping out rebounds on weak low shots, he’s off on tracking a little it seems most likely due to getting pummelled too many times. He needs to use his stick to deflect those pucks wide instead of his pads which leave juicy rebounds. That said he still made some amazing saves to get the win
