For me, Auston Matthews deserves a lot more heat.

Highest paid player in the game and has fewer points than Philip Broberg on the season. So that’s mission failure on the very basics. Captaincy after the Bruins series. I mean, okay you hope for the best but he has not stepped up.

And tonight, probably one of the worst players on the ice when we need a reset from the CBJ debacle.

The whole core group is problematic but they went out of their way to reward Matthews and elevate him and they’re not getting elevated play from him.
