As i said on the main boards, nobody should be making judgments based on these fake playoffs.

Yes, i still consider them fake and just a bloody tournament.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Blues come back with a vengeance next season when we have a normal season with a normal playoffs.

These fake playoffs and the 5 month break have hurt teams like Washington and St Louis but benefited others like Vancouver, Montreal. Tough to get back to where you left off 80% into a season with such a long break.

Think they have to wait until after 3rd period. Not that you can tell the difference tonight.

Hahaha

Dec/Jan can't come soon enough.

I don't think they know the actual start date yet.

They really need to get fans in the arenas. Even if you force folks to sit 2-3 empty seats apart.

If we don't sign Pietrangelo and make some roster adjustments we'll be middle of the road at best

There's zero reason for Petro to stay here. We're in cap trouble if we sign him, and there's nothing promising coming out of this. We're probably looking at status quo for next season and a pretty sizable retool in 21-22 once some of these contracts come off.

Time to make some tweaks.

I'd rather not sign Petro if it breaks the bank.

One last thing before I go to bed....

f*** the nhl and their ridiculous start times
Seriously wtf! I know St. Louis brings top ratings compared to most teams and they have all of the games besides 1 ending around 12:30-1am

Their 1st round robin game was at a prime time slot and it was the most watched Blues regular season game ever.

I'm trying not to think about it, honestly.

There are pros and cons either way if you look at the situation objectively.

I don’t think 27 has looked as good in the playoffs as he did in the regular season (although 55 has looked mediocre at best).

How long will 27 be considered an elite D? It’s an honest question. Perhaps 4-5 years but by the age of 33-34 he will slow down as everyone does.

Do you hand out an 8 year 8.5 million a year when you know the 2nd half of the contract will be less than stellar??

I don’t have the answers except that the Faulk deal sucks

Outside of ROR, Perron, Schwartz, Schenn, Thomas, and Parayko everyone should be available for an upgrade if possible.

I can’t fault Berube for going with Binnington. I would have done the same. But we didn’t get a sharp Binnington. I have to wonder, if they trade Allen, will the Blues wind up with a starting goalie problem again. This is a pretty big time to repeatedly lay an egg.

On the other side, full credit to Markstrom. Of all the Canuck players, he’s the guy I’m most impressed with in the series.

Good for Vancouver. I’m sure it’s a thrill to make some noise in the postseason after so long. But this is the story of a St Louis team that showed up in the bubble and never got it together. It was evident from going 0-4 prior to the series. I expect Vancouver’s lineup will suddenly look a lot more flawed against Vegas. And if St Louis had made it past, they’d have been overmatched too.

Absolutely, down 3-1 in game 5 Markstrom made some big time saves, and now we’re here. At this point I’m just hoping we don’t get shutout in an elimination game. Roar bacon please?:help:

Pettersson and Hughes have also been very impressive. Hard to believe just how good they are sometimes given their age.

I just hate Roussel sooooo much:mad:
