Hounds have signed Jordan Charron

Love this kids game. Power Forward and speed to burn. Got to build around these 07s, could be best 07 group in the league with Martin, Hayes, Smith, Solomon, Muxlow, Holub, Gillen and now Charron...name another team with 07s that deep. Could be a solid 2 to 3 yrs in the Soo where they can compete.

Makes sense now about releasing Dezoete. It's too bad another team didn't pick him up.

and there’s several 07/08s that could be added still too!

A hell of a third period from the Hounds. Windsor was lucky to get away with only 2 penalties and Costanzo stood on his head. Hopefully they can solve him in overtime.

Charron looks really good with Andrew. I like what I've seen from the youngsters.

Totally dominant overtime as well. This game was a must-win if we're going to challenge for the division title. Huge goal from Brodie!

I hope management aren't under the allusion that we are going to challenge for the division. And be in for another 2nd round exit.
Do you think you guys will be selling off some of your assets like Nordh and Gibson??

Or do you think the Soo will aim for a Final Four appearance?

Nordh, gibson and allard should be moved imo. At least those 3. Maybe shenkle too if someone is desperate and will overpay.

And Martin's breakaway was 100% in the net. Off the crossbar, off Costanzo's back and at least 4 or 5 inches over the line...overhead angle didn't show it as it was under him but everyone on the west side of the rink saw it

Like it or not, this injury plagued team is challenging for a division title right now. That's absolutely the goal of the players and coaching staff.

Windsor is a solid team, but hardly unbeatable, as we've done it twice in a row. Before the season I said we'll be in the mix for the division lead at the deadline and I still think that will be the case.

Decision time comes at the deadline and I think we probably need to sell, but we'll see what the team does.

Would love to see Andrew Gibson on the Knights if you are indeed selling. Love his defensive shutdown ability. Basically shutdown Easton Cowan all game except for the PP. He would be our missing piece!

I'd like to see Noah Read and Noah Jenken along with a few second round picks on the Greyhounds :D

We're in need of a young top 6 center and building around our 07 core, so Read is an obvious fit.

We can challenge but at the same time sell off assets like Gibson, Allard etc.; I'm expecting nothing from this group this year

the smart thing to do is to sell at the deadline.
build around :
martin, hayes, andrew, charron, b. smith, muxlow
keep mignosa, & clouthier, as overagers for next season.
(They will be in demand at the deadline as well.)
definitely trade : gibson, allard, nordh
try to also trade : schenkel, & carlisle if teams overpay.
try to get croskery to report.

Ooooof that’s a good trade. Only thing I would switch is we need Jenken as our 3rd pair shutdown guy this year, so I’d hope two-way defenseman PJ Fagan was going instead.

But Read traded would hurt, but you gotta give up something good to get something good.

Gibson to Kingston (guessing and maybe selfishly manifesting Tyler Hopkins as a Hound )
Allard to Brampton (guessing)
Charlie and Miller stay
Mignosa gets bites but Raftis is too scared to pull trigger

Hounds still win games after deadline and “are able to compete for division” because THE COMPETE in this team is coming from THE FUTURE. These dominating wins are coming without Allard and honestly Gibson is doing nothing most games.

The 07 core is only going to get better and the team knows this….

I could definitely see something like that working. It would give the Hounds 10 players in that 07 class to build around, which is really what you need these days.

I was just going to say that Tyler Hopkins would have to be a part of that trade for the same reasons that I suggested Noah Read, but you edited. Great minds think alike I guess!

Also, I know I sound like a broken record, but Miller has a 2.57 GAA and .917 SV% in his last 8 against 'good' competition. That argument was clearly baloney and he's proven everyone wrong. Get a haul for Charlie in a rebuilding year. He's been incredible and someone will pay up.

Where do you have Nordh going?

I loved how quickly he embraced OHL style hockey. Obviously, a small sample size but he didn’t act intimidated at all despite a WS veteran lineup and 17/18 bodies over 6 feet
