The Soo
i'm not that shocked if Tynan isn't part of the program this season.

a goalie taking up an OA spot might be worth it if we had a bonafide starter in a contending year. but Tynan was pretty mediocre other than a few standout games in the playoffs. maybe an ivanov/schenkel duo with some limited action for miller is the way forward.

Tynan was mediocre in the regular season, lights out in the playoffs. Seeing as I don't see us making the playoffs this year, it's not surprising. It would be one thing if this year was like every other year and we didn't have any other bonefide OHLers ready. But I think both Ivanov and Miller can be considered bonefide OHLers. We have a greater need to use OA spots on defense (1) and forward (2).

I could see us squeeking in maybe, we'll have to see what this year's crop of players brings to the table albeit the fact that we don't have alot of returning firepower

Also, no Jamie Tardiff.

Something someone mentioned to me last week. I was told he was joining Hartford in AHL.
I knew about this last week but glad to see the official announcement, well deserved for Jamie

This is a playoff team. There won't be any squeaking in in my opinion. I have us pegged at about 6 place at this moment in time.

I completely disagree.. if we do make playoffs we just squeak in.. we shouldn't be worried about playoffs at all.. we should be focused on developing a strong team for the future. If we miss playoffs this year so be it. Let the kids play.
This is going to be a hard team to make but I think there is one forward spot available.

Tucker not showing is interesting

I feel like at camp all the spots are open. Work to earn it.

This year is definitely a rebuild year with lots of great young talent that will blossum into a championship contender in a year or two I think

Definitely spots up for grabs to earn at camp. Our older players are not necessary our top players, so if management feels they have been surpassed by the youth, we might see more changeover than expected.
