Relieved to see that David Price signed with the Red Sox for 7 yrs 217M. It's gotta be either Greinke or Cueto for the Dodgers I'm thinking, since both Zimmerman, and now Price are off the market.

Tank Bowl round 1 tonight. Sixers looking to break the record for longest losing streak to start a season. Kobe with 13 first quarter points in his last game in his hometown and the Lakers lead 33-26.

Lakers brass keeping Scott meaning they are in full tank mode. Bet ya the front office is pushing for a lost.

The cure to a 27 game losing streak? Your Los Angeles Lakers!

Sixers 13-28 from 3  A team that makes 8 per game and shoots it at 31.8%.

More embarrassing final season.

Kobe or Manning?

The sad part about Kobe is the fact that he was given that contract offer by Jim Buss. I think even he was surprised by the offer that the Lakers submitted to him. Can't blame him for accepting it. Just a shame how this tarnishes his legacy, much like Jordan with the Wizards.

Lose more better chance at the top three. Definitely don't want Philly to get that first.

Don't feel sorry for Kobe at all they way he insists on selfishly chucking up brick after brick from three.

Not much difference between Price and Greinke, Price is a couple of years younger so he'll get 7 years where Greinke probably will get something like 5/150 or 4/120.

Greinke is like Ryan Smyth, if the Giants offer him a nickel more as Hawk Harrelson would say... "He Gooooooooooooone"

I wasn't aware this was Manning final season. Personally, I think Manning can still play. He just can't play well under Kubiak's system. I think if you let Manning do what he's been doing for most of his NFL career, which is to let him run the offense, I think Manning can still put up the numbers. I wouldn't mind seeing him on the Rams. Not going to happen, but I wouldn't mind it. It's definitely a better option than what we have currently.

7@217M is 31M per year!!!!! :amazed:

It's unbelievable, how much more money the baseball players make.

It is amazing with declining numbers at ballparks, and viewership. Baseball is boring as heck to watch.

Unless you are actually at the ball game.

You don't appreciate the art of one foul ball after another, and another, and another...

Add to that all the friggin video challenges, visits to the mound, and did I mention all the foul balls???

And to cap it off, this is the only major sport that doesn't have a salary cap. :shakehead

Jordan was nowhere close to this bad with the Wizards. He was still a good player, just not MICHAEL JORDAN at that point.

Agree. He's the same selfish ball hog he's always been. Only now he doesn't have the skills to remotely justify it.

I've been a supporter of Byron Scott and I think he's in an impossible position. But he needs to put his foot down with Kobe and limit his minutes to spot duty at most.

Ah, the old "ball hog" ******** despite Kobe regularly having team highs in assists.

Can you back that up with any facts or is this just the typical anti-baseball rhetoric?

Baseball attendance was up last years from the season prior.

Forbes valuation as of 3/25/15 - average team is worth 1.2 B

The sport has never been more profitable.

Yes, how in the world will the small market teams compete with no salary cap to protect them? Maybe once they finally impose a salary cap a team from the 31st media market in the US might have a shot at winning the World Series...

One good thing is the A's games are empty, so I can sit behind home plate on a mon-fri for like 40 bucks. Part of me keeps hoping that ole Lew will never spend money on the A's again, Tickets have never been cheaper.

But it does suck watching the A's currently.
