Sarkisian leaving indefinitely. Safe to say he's a full blown alcoholic. Hope he cleans his life up and he's a great guy, but he doesn't belong leading this team any more. Time to move on.

Coaching is so important in college football. Graham at ASU gets a little nutty sometimes with the timeouts on defense, but overall I am very pleased with the job he is doing at ASU. He instilled some discipline in the program and put expectations on the players and good things started to happen.

ASU's season could have went completely off the rails after the loss to USC. Now they are in control of their own destiny with a huge game coming up at Utah next week. Still a very good chance that ASU will not win the Pac-12 South this season, but I like their chances with Graham leading them.

I've said it for a while and I feel it now more than ever - Pat Haden needs to be fired. His recent hirings are disastrous and as more info comes out, he took an even bigger gamble on Sarkisian than I thought. For what? I just don't get it. Both need to be fired immediately. What an absolute train wreck - a full blown alcoholic coach.

USC needs to stop hiring frat boy former Pete Carroll assistants and open up the wallet for someone who can come in and change the culture of the program like we did with Harbaugh.

Five star Daelin Hayes bailed today, and plenty of others will be followng if Pat Haden doesn't fix this mess.

He won't. He doesn't have the balls to make major changes. If he did he'd step down. "All I care about is the University." He said that today during his conference call. Not true.

Pete is a defensive guru and was the leader of the entire coaching group. Kiffin, Orgeron, Sarkisian... what a disaster. When will it end? The prospect pool and roster is absolutely stacked and it's being led by no one. I know it'll sound cliche, but I truly believe Kelly is seriously being considered.

The problem is, USC is just coming off major sanctions and Kelly basically paid to get Lache Seastrunk at Oregon.

I don't think the "win at all costs" mindset is going to be returning to USC anytime soon. Plus with how bad the NFC East is the Eagles may just win that division and it would be tough to sign him that late.

They could sign someone with less baggage.

It's the right call I think.

And apparently the players were informed before the season that the league would look at supplemental discipline on plays like that.

I knew that the a "neighborhood" play at second would eventually get challenged in these playoffs as well.

Yeah, I can't argue with the suspension. The time Utley slid into Tejada, it looked very questionable to me. It's unfortunate, but Utley's play did uplift the dodgers to tie the series, so there is that.

It's still a mess and he's appealing because they said everything was fine even with a review in the game only to now suspend him for an illegal play?

MLB is embarrassing. Relying on the court of public opinion? They said it was legal and now they suspend him? Get the hell out of here.

The New York Giants are such a "blah" football team, its hard to watch this ****.

Also, can't believe how far the 49ers have fallen. This is a bad football team.

Someones getting one in the ribs before the 3rd inning of game 3, bank on it.

Pathetic. And I don't even follow the Dodgers, but I saw replays just now. That's just a regular baseball slide into 2nd. I don't get how they can say its illegal.

So he is appealing, and my prediction is they are going split the difference and he is going be end up being suspended one game. Stupid, but that's way it is.

Torre needs to move on into retirement.

I love how those who don't even follow baseball, seem to have the strongest opinions about the sport.

Was an avid fan 1968 through about 2008 or so, but dropped off the last few years. I know the game, thank you.

And there was nothing illegal about that slide.

Mets would be very stupid to hit someone especially early in a pivotal game. If you really feel like you need to retaliate you wait until the regular season next year. I really hope if they do hit someone the next guy up hits it out of the park.

While technically it was not illegal I think it falls under one of those unwritten rules like stealing with a huge lead.

I think it's a borderline play and the spinning by tejada made it a lot worse than it should have been.
