The Legend Continues
Just like a top 3 talent falling to 9 because of his health.
SRF fell this year, and Norris fell to the 2nd round of 2011. I'm starting to think AA casts some weird voodoo ****.

Hoffman could be the steal of all steals thanks to his Tommy John surgery.
He's young enough where it could only be a one time issue.
Found a scouting report on Thomas:

Not bad. the #s project out to him being MLB average to above average pretty much clean across the board. Could be an average everyday CF or a good corner OF or backup/utility OF.
Getting down away from the top rounds, you could do worse than picking a guy that's at worst all-around MLB caibre with no obvious holes.
Apparently Lane Thomas already struck a deal with the Jays. Doesn't seem like such a tough sign considering he's touted as a 1D CF (according to this guy). Though the Jays actually drafted him as an RF.
whats a punt pick?
Looks like a punt pick. 7-10 college seniors and save up some money to get a good talent or two in the 11+ rounds.
whats a punt pick?
whats a punt pick?
8-10 maybe. Zehner is a junior
whats a punt pick?
A junior with a year of CC under his belt. 22 years old in August. I say he signs cheap.
whats a punt pick?
Draft money is allotted to every player. To save money teams will or aa at least will "punt a pick" to save money to use elsewhere. Generally say a 7th round pick you have a little over 150k to sign him. You draft a college kid that isn't very good but will sign a contract for 5 or 10 k and never play baseball again and just to try his luck and catch on. Saving them 140k to use on a high end prospect. AA has punted up to 5 picks in the past but you must sign them to get the money to use. This can also only be done in the first 10 rounds.
yeah I know, I'm just saying he's a junior because for some reason the mlb site had a mistake there listing him as a senior
off topic but the jays signed Ayala to a minor league good. Nice depth signing.
