At this point I’m not sure I would feel comfortable if Helle is back next year

Why?

Everything is a media shitstorm, blowing smoke.

Helly is out living his best life. I don't think he ended the season with any animosity towards his teammates. He gave Chevy a failing grade. Chevy has to make some moves. Re-signing Stanley and Pearson might not be enough.

I didn’t say 9 and Lundell. I said I believe Chevy will grind out his price no matter how long it takes and if that price doesn’t present itself Helly will be playing goal for the Jets.

Whether the price is 9+Lundell is what Chevy wants or it's something else, then he will probably be playing goal for the Jets, yes, with all the distractions that poses.

Well to be fair that same source is also saying Lundell is a no-go for Florida (who is probably the only team I could imagine Helle agreeing to waive for).

If not Lundell then an overpay on futures might get Chevy to bite. Tough to say though

then he doesn't get traded, it's as simple as that lol, if he wants out so badly then he can expand his list, no indications have said the jets are wanting or needing to trade helle and only listening

the only thing we've heard is, the jets are listening and teams know what they want, idk why everyone is so quick to list what futures were trading helle for

Because that is the trade that makes sense.

1st line - sure very likely
2nd line - Yuk, Yager isn't ready for a 2c role and Pul kinf of sucks
3rd line - Could be fun to watch, very fast
4th line - Very hard on the puck, very good defensively

1st pairing - Very possible, hopefully Demelo can bounce back
2nd pairing - Very possible
3rd pairing - Nurse IMO likely is a 4-5D brings some good qualities, not great defensively but massively overpaid. I see him in the category of around Pionk, different players, different skills but in that ballpark. IMO Nurse is about 2 million over paid, maybe a bit more. Salom, his development likely will be effected by his surgury/injury/recovery so this year might be a slight step backwards.

The difference between a tear down rebuild and a retool on the fly might be as simple as getting a few well chosen roster players mixed in with the futures.

Depends on age mostly. If they are 25 and under they can definitely fit in with the next core. I'd be more willing to go that route with some older player if we could be a player in free agency but we just don't attract top tier talent.

Jets wont want pure futures, they want win now roster pieces to keep the ship going now and avoiding other trade demands. Plus, while I haven't been as high on helle return as some here are, I think he actually returns more than that

The market for goalies is weird. I'll be pleasantly surprised if Helle gets the biggest deal a goalie has ever gotten. They are always so underrated in trades.

Agreed, but a 9th oa and early 2nd in a weak draft seems like a weak return. While I would love those picks, I would much sooner see a Lundell & Mackie
