Chytil would have spent 2 years in the Czech league to develop into wjat he is today.
A player capable of 40 points with potential for more.
Nothing about who he is today would be different.
I hope nobody is surprised when we start the season as we are.
Yzerman should have thought it out before he threw his tantrum and used his influence to change the lottery rules.I know we need more Dmen like we need a hole in our heads but if Chychrun was truly available I'm working to make that happen.
Counter.Going to make a prediction: if we have an 82 game season and if Blais stays healthy for most of it, he’s still not playing 60 games.
I am forecasting a Goodrow, Blais, Reeves/Hunt line, for whatever that’s worth. It’s probably a “fourth” line but I think they’ll be used just as much at a “third” line. This will be Gallant’s soften-them-up line.I don’t think anyone knows how the line up is going to shake out. I do think we are done making trades for at least the 1st quarter of the season, unless a deal comes across Drurys desk that’s too good to be true. As it sits now, we are going to have at least 1 fwd who sits/ or plays sporadically. And perhaps Barron, who may be good enough to be on the big club right now after camp, have to go back to the A because of the log jam in the top 9
LaF-Zibby- Kakko/Kravtsov/Blais
Panarin-Strome-Kakko/Kravtsov/Blais
Kreider-Chytil-Goodrow
Hunt-Rooney-Reaves/Richards??
and that’s projecting Barron goes back to the A, which is not a given at this point and Gauthier probably waived.
I doubt Gallant plans to play Blais on 4th line, but he may have to, Just to bump Hunt out and have enough spots.
Who do you think sits? And what line up do you think the Rangers have coming out of camp??
As it stand now, we are already going to be forced to play someone on 4th line that we want in the top 9. Either that or somebody will be sitting in the press box.

- If we have an 82 game season, Blais will play every single game if healthy, plus every single playoff game.

Blais is basically a slightly better version of Brendan Lemieux.
I guess it depends on what you mean by slightly. Lemieux is barely an NHL caliber 4th liner. Blais is a competent 3rd line winger IMO, although it’s very possible he’s a 4th liner most nights here. I think he’s clearly better than Lemieux and I think the Rangers clearly targeted him. If given the ice time, he should be very capable of 30+ points looking at his numbers the last two seasons. Lemieux isn’t touching that.
Blais is a 4th liner on a contender IMO
I also think he’s an everyday player if he doesn’t get injuredCounter.

Think they brought Blais and Goodrow in to be the “ dirty work” guys to play with 2 more talented players.Blais is a 4th liner on a contender IMO

Each of them will be placed on a line with 2 guys that kind of play a different style and they lack that 3rd component. A guy that will win puck battles, Hit, and forecheck.
I think if Panarin-Strome is the line going fwd out of camp, which is likely, 1 of Goodrow/Blais are going to be the RW
