Kyper is still concussed. He probably still thinks he has 12 fingers. I wouldn't say he is a reliable source.

I believe SDPN also said Max is pretty much done, his agent does stuff over there. But maybe they were talking about regular season. But I don’t think he’s back tbh. It sounds like it’s multiple injuries, not just the quad.

I liked what he was bringing before the injury - smart plays, solid skill, reasonably physical, and not as slow as I was fearing. If he can get healthy and play like that again, he’s for sure got a spot on the team IMO. If he’s not healthy, then obviously not.

Since the Leafs have disclosed nothing about his injury, no fans really know if he’ll be back this year or not

I hope he can come back for playoffs BUT I have heard his Achilles and knee issues have him in pretty bad shape .. maybe RETIREMENT .. he was a great warrior for us

He's definitely playing again, question is how many game consistently can he play in without getting hurt again.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pacioretty goes in for Holmberg in the top 6 as soon as he's ready to come back.

I think Max will come in handy in the playoffs, it would be nice to know if he's making progress on his legs. I just have a feeling he's going to do something big in the 1st round

Don't have the brightest outlook on the Leafs chances this spring but our best bet with Pacioretty is he comes in like a wrecking ball and pops one or two key goals to help them. Just doesn't seem like a guy who can be counted on to be healthy for any length of time.

What a huge boost it would be if he came in and made a contribution. Just like adding a free deadline asset at this point since he’s been out so long. You have to think he’s motivated to try and win a cup. Maybe his last shot

His body is destroyed, I’m in the camp that we probably don’t see him at all but there’s the potential they are resting him for the playoffs. Maybe him and Jarnkrok are in for the playoff roster

Would definitely be a better piece for the playoffs then players like Holmberg or Robertson. He's big bodied, hits, plays well defensively and can chip in offensively.

He is a prototypical playoff player which would look wonderful next to Tavares and Nylander. While shifting McMann back to 3rd line.

I think you gotta have Patches in the lineup if he's ready to go by the playoffs. He just brings jam and fits better in the top 9 than Robertson imo. If he could fill that 2LW role, he allows us to use McMann on the 3rd line and we can go with a super 3rd line of McMann and Nylander with Laughton in the middle. (they won't do that, but it would be nice to see it).
