Actually I would guess its because it was an accident, but thats another story. Again, I saw that one coming from a mile away.

I think some of these posters don't even care about the jokes is my impression. They just watch the show to see what matt and trey think, which was never why I watched the show.

What you saw coming from a mile away was the reference, which anybody would have guessed because South Park is a topical show. But the reference wasn't the joke - it ain't Family Guy.

Sub par??

What's par then?

Season 18:

Go Fund Yourself - Takin on the Redskins...awesome
The Cissy - Eric as 'Erica' the transginger, and Randy as Lorde was hilarious
Grounded Vindaloop - The Indian support call-taker nearly killed me.
C*ck Magic - Pure gold with Randy's 'magic'.

And the other 6 episodes had some really good stuff too.

Season 19:

The running PC Principal character was one of the funniest things SP has done in a long time.

Stunning and Brave - Awesome intro to PC Principal
Where My Country Gone - Mr Garrison was back in top form.
The City Part Of Town - Any City Wok episode is money. The Whole Foods stuff was funny.
You're Not Yelping - Cartman as a reviewer was hilarious. Yelpers suck. Hilarious episode.
Safe Space - Cartman killed it in this one. And Randy with the donations was awesome.
PC Principal Final Justice - End of one of the best arcs ever on SP.
I really liked some of this too, I especially liked how they covered "native" advertising, for people that think I don't care about what matt and trey think at all.

But stunning and brave, where my country gone with the wall, , some of that stuff just fell so flat for me, the gentrification stuff was a bit one note with those tourism commercials.

I really can't remember everything to say why I didn't like some of it, i would have to rewatch it, actually when I said it I didn't expect so many people to challenge me on it, was not baiting people at all. Didn't realize people love the last couple of seasons so much.

No, not the reference. Them getting in the car, killing someone, and then moving on like it was not a big deal. Exactly that.

You thought nobody in South Park said anything when Jenner killed people with her car simply because it was an accident? Then how exactly does the joke of her driving on blamelessly make sense?

It only works as a joke, and conceivably becomes predictable, if you go into it with the understanding that Jenner's untouchable because of her PC status. If you think people said nothing because it was an accident, then besides not having any comedic value, the whole thing falls apart.

All good. Maybe just give them a rewatch? :dunno:

I meant the real life incident that was an accident. I don't think it was even DWI if I'm not mistaken

O...kay. So what were you explaining when you said "[a]ctually I would guess its because it was an accident"?

DWI doesn't have anything to do with it.

Maybe I missed your point I thought you were referencing the real life incident and not the joke. You're saying they were paralleling it to how she killed someone in real life and people didn't care? I understood the joke

But again, I'm not talking about whether them "addressing the issue" was or wasn't a surprise, the entire setup and punchline of that joke was obvious from the start.

Either way it's one joke, overall I wasn't a fan

None of this really adds up, but it's become more tedious than it's worth.

Hope this season's less "predictable" for you.

The Fractured But Whole will be coming out a few weeks after season 20 is finished. I'm looking forward to that too, probably more so than the show.

Personally I preferred the single episodes instead of the story based season but the show is so good it doesn't really matter how they do it.

Gotta agree. I didn't need a full season of PC Principal. One or two episodes was enough for me. I understand why people liked the story-arcing season and the PC Principal aspect of it but it just didn't do it for me. South Park is just one of those shows that's just so good even when I'm unhappy with an episode (or season) it's still better than 99% of the other crap out there anyways though.

Can't think of an episode I hate really, maybe one or two I'd skip if I did a re-watch but none I absolutely dislike that I can think of.
