Looking forward to Demon's Souls, big time. A great game back in the day and looks to be even better now. We'll see though

I really don't care about PT at all.

I played it when it came out, got a kick out of it, deleted it, have never even thought about redownloading or replaying it. And I say that as a big Silent Hill fan.

It was a nice piece of promotional work. It barely stands up as a game. Let it go, people.

Agreed. I guess I was not aware that people were replaying it.

For some reason it developed a cult following and ppl still play it. Lol. It wasn’t bad but ya, as mentioned, it was barely even a game at that point.

It was just a very unique game for its time, even as a demo it had huge influence on a game like RE7

ngl I hate what I'm seeing out of these UI changes. Most of the stuff you do seems like it's going to take more clicks for some reason. It's like all these companies figure they have to give their UI designers something to do and the result is almost always worse.

Even the recent party changes on PS4 are dumb. Just filling my notices box with me being added to groups.

Wow that's it? That's incredibility short.

As long as there are still lots of side things to do I'll be happy. While I enjoyed the story of the first one I'm not a comic reader, so I don't really have any story expectations. I just really like the mechanics and the gameplay.

Apparently several backward compatible games received a 60 fps patch from Sony, except for Bloodborne. While that sucks, I'm kind of hoping it means a Bloodborne remastered is coming and Sony doesn't want to cannibalize that.

No quick resume for ps5. Wonder why. Patents? Hardware limitations?
Realistically how many people would even use it? Most just play one game at a time and the load times to start up another game will take like 10 seconds anyways. Convenience I guess but not needed. Jmo.

I don't think that's true. Lots of people have a few go to games, and even if they don't, they'll have one game they're playing and they might try another game and want to at least have their main game suspended.

Is there a list of backwards compatibility games? Ps4 screwed me there after being able to play my favourites on the ps3.

All of them except about 5 or 6 that are shovelware (except for shadow complex remastered, the one good game that didn't make it). You will get a warning for a lot of them that you "may encounter issues" but I think that just means they haven't been thoroughly tested, I don't think anyones found any real bugs.

Also regarding quick resume on Xbox, apparently it's basically in beta and a lot of games don't suspend, so maybe Sony is still working through it themselves.

I use to use it for watching a hockey game on the app, then swapping to a game for intermission. Then I got a smart TV and never used it again.

Preordered a bundle from GameStop that said it would be delivered on 11/30, but my card was charged today so I’m holding out hope that I might get it closer to release date.

Most people are not bouncing around between like 4 or 5 games a day and if you are, you are probably a full time streamer. But I don't think the average person is. The average person has a lot on their plate to play and when they finally have some time to play they aren't going to be switching a lot. They will stick to one game to finish it and move on to the next. It's all about convenience though so if it's added that's a plus.

I dont think people are playing 5 games at a time, but 1 game at a time? That is just as far-fetched. Just today, I was playing Dragons crown, switched to the worms beta to see how it was, then went back to dragons crown. These aren't even super large games but going through the menus each time you load them up takes time.

I would bet that most people have a quick go to multiplayer game they spend hundreds of hours on, Cod, Apex, etc, and then mess with other games as well as having a single player game they play when they have free time.

Regardless, I kind of look at it like this, why would you want less features? The competition has it, why not?

Also, the feature is almost definitely coming. Theres like 200 GB taken up by the ps5 OS, how much you want to bet thats allocation for a quick-resume feature?

The speed that games load seems to diminish the value of quick resume a bit anyways. The weird thing is that it appears that when you switch games it doesn't warn you about closing the current one and just launches the new one.

Hopefully someone has the answer, wasn’t able to find one.

Where is the exhaustive list of ps4 games comptatible with PS5, especially data transfer (I know it’s at the discretion of the publisher).

I’m looking to *finally* start playing Fallout 4 but considering you can spend many hours on the game,I don’t want to start it then having to start once again on ps5 (don’t even know if backward compatibility will work for this game).

Thanks,

PS5 Backwards Compatibility: Can You Play PS4 Games on PlayStation 5?

There are only 10 games + PT that are 100% not backwards compatible/transferable. There's a short list that "may exhibit errors" but I'd be surprised if they were serious.

Fallout isn't on either list but who knows, Bethesda games finding new ways to break wouldn't surprise me.
