I don’t even think this ranks in the top 25 of most embarassing things about the Flyers

But don't worry, the Flyers writers will still attack other journalists for not getting down on their knees and opening wide.

Seriously, when the Flyers organization technically has the most sane, professional reaction to this (yes, it was f***ing embarrassing and the f*** face should be fired), you know you're way too much of a f***ing shill (those attacking journalists and doing every piece of damage control possible) and you should reevaluate your f***ing life.

I don't think he was upset that they asked the Flyers suck, he was clearly annoyed that probably every reporter has asked every new player/current player about playing during a rebuild and he's probably tired of it. No different than working in a restaurant and every customer comes in and asks the same dumb question over and over again, you're going to back to the kitchen and mock them or complain about how every customer asks the same question etc. Ever seen Clerks? Shit like that? Haha.
Except in this case we legitimately want to know what makes these players jump into this flaming dumpster. Sadly we won't get a straight answer.

Meltzer said Hathaway had similar offers, but they weren't near where his family are based.

We know what guides these and almost every other signing decision: MONEY. Especially for a marginal player like him, making even an extra $100k a year is a big deal for someone whose contract could be his last serious NHL contract.
