Anyways feel for Morgalla. Good 30minutes from him before he had to withdraw due to injury. Netz & Schmidt on the left played well together and I was happy with how Wagner sat in front of them.

Gruda, was nifty after coming on, Beier and Adeyemi did good things, the Bulgarians scored two nice goals with their only shots of the game and Mouki was his typically dominant self.

Then and there
Read the thread. Voller said he'd like him to play for Germany.
Tel politely answered his dream was to play for France.

At the moment, it seems unlikely that he would be selected for France for the Euro24, right? He would easily make the the Germany squad though.

I have no opinion on this, but on the surface it would seem to make more sense for him to go for the Germany route, rather than count on France maybe making him their main striker in 3 years time for the WC.

There's not really much difference in international prestige between France and Germany.

Obviously he's still young, so it might not matter matter if doesn't become a starter for France until his early 20s.

That'd be an awful choice.
He's going to replace Giroud in 7 months. Only RKM will be left to hop over.
France will be a candidate for every major trophy for the next ten years at least.
Tel could make history.

How do I say this right without evilo misunderstanding me and going on a tirade?

...I'm not so sure that he'd be a lock to make the Germany squad for the euros; great young talent, who is doing fantastically as a joker for Bayern, though he may be.

I don't have a problem with you saying this at all.
As for the second part I think France has arguably the biggest talent pool and depth than any other nation in history if you judge from age 16 to age 30. It really is incredible.

France is insanely stacked...but 10 years is a long time and a lot can change.

As long as Havertz is an auto-call up with his form the past several years there's no reason to think Tel wouldn't have a great shot.

You're letting his club form blind you. As long as Kai's form for the NT stays excellent and he continues to produce like he has, he deserves to be an auto-call up for any NT. Just check WhoScored, his NT ratings and production are significantly better than his club results.

And that matches the game tape, Kai’s very involved and active for the NT.

Cherki's game against Cyprus

Involved in 8 goals. You read that right 8 goals. Even against Cyprus that's unreal. Including 2 absolutely amazing goals. And he didn't even play 90 minutes.

What does "involved" mean in this context? It's not G+A, so I'm curious the definition.

Saw Finland U21 team play the other day and in net was their Chelsea goalkeeper. Strenghts: he's huge. Weaknesses: worst passer I've seen in a while.

To break it down :
- 2 goals
- 2 assists
- his shot turned into an own goal
- got a pen
- 2 secondary assists

He also hit the post.

Paris Brunner has been suspended indefinitely by BVB. Nothing about why other than there was an incident that they felt required this response despite how well he was doing training with the senior team...

Oh and Can Uzun is a really interesting talent. Watched some Nurnberg for Castrop, and that young midfielder is on quite the goalscoring tear. Not surprised Benfica and Everton are already trying to woo him out of the country.

No firm order though I tried to list the senior level kids ahead of the youth teamers and group players by main position/current position...although most of these kids could end up at different spots depending on how their development goes.

HMs are generally kids I like, but who I don't think have NT futures whether because they are blocked by better talents or because I think they're just not quite at that level.

Moukoko (FW/W)
Weiper (ST)
Beier (FW/W)
Tresoldi (FW/W)
Brunner (FW/W)
Ramsak (FW/W)

Nmecha (CM/AM)
Ouédraogo (CM/AM)
Stiller (DM/CM)

Atubolu (GK)

Our depth is obviously strongest in the creative band. Though there are top level talents all across the pitch, that's the only area where having 3 or 4 of our top prospects fail wouldn't hurt us dramatically.

- Up front we need at least one of Mouki, Weiper, Brunner, or Ramsak to come good or we won't have a star striker.
- In the deeper midfield if Martel, Dardai, & Aseko-Nkili all failed we'd have to continue making due with Can / Khedira / Groß level holders.
- We need Nico, Thiaw, ABK, and Morgalla to work out better than Süle, Tah, Ginter, and Kehrer did if we want a strong defense again.

But in the creative band Schade, Knauff, Wanner, Darvich, & Ouedraogo could all fail, and we'd still be awash with young talent in that part of the pitch with Musiala, Wirtz, Adeyemi, Nmecha, etc.

I don't know how to judge GK prospects but these four are highly rated by people follow German prospects, most are advanced for their age...either playing above their age group or already starting at the pro level...and they have looked good to me for various youth NTs; although at their age they obviously still need plenty of polish.

No Neuer, Leno, or MAtS's from this group who will be ready to start for a CL team by 20, but Früchtl is the only GK prospect we've had since MAtS with the kind of hype these 4 have.
- Siemen in particular gets a lot of hype from German and non-german prospect people, though I've seen the least of him.
- Atubolu can sometimes cause as much trouble for himself as he saves, but if it all comes together he has a ton of potential as both a shot stopper and ball-player.
- Urbig is fantastic with his feet and already doing well in BuLi2; he could be ready for the first division in a year or two.
- Schmitt was excellent for the U17s and deservedly gets a lot of love for both his ballskills & shot-stopping; currently adapting to life in the regionalliga.

A current U23 team would probably look something like this at full health:

Moukoko
Adeyemi - Musiala - Wirtz - Schade
Martel
Netz - Schlotterbeck - Thiaw - Beyer
Atubolu

Beier
Gruda - Burkardt* - Knauff
Stiller - Nmecha
Rothe - Schmidt - ABK - Morgalla
Urbig

*Bischof, Huseinbasic, Weißhaupt (w/ Gruda sliding inside), Weiper (w/Beier sliding back), Ouédraogo, Wanner, Darvich

Maybe replace Schade with Nmecha in the starting 11.
