Sounds good to me.

The guy is acting like a kid in a candy store. Trying to hijack deals, throwing money at everything that moves.
No direction, no patience. Everything Liverpool and City have done to get where they are, he's doing the opposite.
Of all the big clubs, they're the ones that deserve to crash and burn the most. Them and Barcelona.

A few more losses and Potter's probably in the hot seat too.

We finally are a proper soccer/football nation.

Former United States men's national team captain Claudio Reyna sent multiple messages to U.S. Soccer executives during the World Cup threatening to reveal sensitive details about USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter's past, multiple sources told ESPN.

The messages began after his son, Gio Reyna, was informed he would have a limited role at the tournament.

U.S. Soccer did not receive any details about the claims until Dec. 11, when an executive was informed in a call with Claudio Reyna and his wife, Danielle, that Berhalter, 49, had a past domestic violence incident, sources told ESPN.

That information arrived the same day as comments Berhalter made at the HOW Institute for Society's Summit on Moral Leadership in New York were published by Charterworks, detailing how "a player" was nearly sent home from the World Cup for not meeting expectations on and off the field.

Berhalter did not identify anyone by name, however, it was a clear reference to Reyna and confirmed by the player in an Instagram post the next day.

Claudio Reyna, who is currently sporting director for MLS club Austin FC, did not reply to a text message Tuesday seeking comment or a follow-up call Wednesday morning. A spokesman for Austin FC declined comment.

On Tuesday, Berhalter, whose contract as U.S. coach expired Dec. 31, revealed details of the incident with his wife in a lengthy statement posted to Twitter.

"During the World Cup an individual contacted U.S. Soccer, saying that they had information about me that would 'take me down' - an apparent effort to leverage something very personal from long ago to bring about the end of my relationship with U.S. Soccer," Berhalter said.

"In the fall of 1991, I met my soulmate. I had just turned 18 and was a freshman in college when I met Rosalind," Berhalter said. "One night, while out drinking at a local bar, Rosalind and I had a heated argument that continued outside. It became physical and I kicked her in the legs."

Chelsea are one CB injury away from having a decent starting XI on injury:

Mendy
James - Fofana - (X) -Chillwell
RLC - Kante
Pulisic - Mount - Sterling
Broja

My Chelsea bud who I was watching the match with pointed that out. Those two early injuries were such bad luck. Chelsea was throwing the kids in at the end. Squad is decimated though those kids sparked them a bit

I've kinda accepted that this season is gonna suck. I'm ok with it. Between horrible scheduling ( everyone had to deal with the WC, I get it), all the managerial changes/administration and I juries, I've kinda just resigned myself that we won't be competitive. It just too much to manage through, especially for a new manager.

So long as they use the balance of the season to play people who have a future here and not those who don't (Azpi, jorginho, ziyech, etc), I'm good. Give kids like Hutchinson and Hall some time to play. Test out the academy right backs to see if we need to buy real cover for James or not. You get half a season to prep for next year basically. Use it wisely.

After watching the WC and a hundred youtube videos, I feel inspired to start watching a lot more soccer.

Problem is I'm not sure what to watch because I don't have a team or have any clue who to start watching.

@Striiker, if you're watching highlight videos, focus on the "Big 5" leagues and pick a league and team from that league that suits what you're looking for. The Big 5 are the Premier League (England), Bundesliga (Germany), La Liga (Spain), Serie A (Italy), and Ligue 1 (France).

There is actually quite a lot of entertaining soccer in leagues below those five, but there's a talent gap in rosters of teams in those other leagues. Holland, Belgium, Portugal, Scotland, Turkey... all have fun teams/players, but overall quality in those leagues isn't near as good as the top five leagues.

I don't watch any soccer outside of Europe, with the exception of the MLS... the MLS sucks by comparison to European leagues.
