Other Sports: Soccer/Football Thread Part Six

Arsenal hasn't made it out of the round of 16 of Europe in 14 years. Spurs have more European trophies than them ffs. Quite amazing how woeful they have been in Europe.

the Minnesota one is growing on me

God no, thats hideous, especially in motion. Charlottes kid is clean and simple. the Seattle kid making number 1 is a blight on society. Thats truly an abomination from where they were before.

@Jack Straw hello :)

How likely would you say it is that:

a) Werner gets a goal or assist in the next 4 games
b) Tottenham wins two of their next 4 games
c) Werner plays at some point in 3 of the next 4 games
d) Tottenham scores 11 goals in the next 4 games

League games only?

Crystal Palace (H), Aston Villa (A), Fulham (A), Luton Town (H)

In terms of likelihood, I would go:

1.) Tottenham wins two of their next 4 games

2.) Tottenham scores 11 goals in the next 4 games
3.) Werner gets a goal or assist in the next 4 games

4.) Werner plays at some point in 3 of the next 4 games

Palace, Fulham, and Luton Town are all winnable games that should total at least 7 points, hopefully 9.

Palace and Luton Town could be high scoring games.

Why do you think Werner playing in 3 of the next 4 is least likely? I would guess he will play in all 4?

In fact I would have gone the exact opposite order that you did, but I haven’t looked at the schedule. 11 goals in the next 4 games I think is the least likely of the four options.

I don't think Werner starts with Son at LW and Richy at ST, so then you're leaving it up to sub appearances, but he's been first off the bench recently with Richy coming off and Son moving to ST.

I put the schedule above and there are some "easier" games against bottom of the table teams at home - that's why I'm thinking/hoping we score a lot of goals.

Ok, so I’ll revise my “predictions”

1. Spurs win 2 of the next 4. They SHOULD win at home against Luton and Palace, and away against Fulham. Don’t think they will win at Villa Park.

2. Werner plays at some point in 3 of the next 4. He’s generally been good when he’s played, he generates pressure- I don’t know why he wouldn’t play.

3. Werner gets a a goal or an assist in one of the next 4. And we know it won’t be a goal.

4. Spurs score 11 goals in the next 4 games. Call me a skeptic.
