What a smash and grab . Arteta spending such a large amount of money on Kai should get him sacked.
Havertz is not a bad player, but LCM is such a vital role in Arteta's system that I have no idea why he thought this experiment would be a wise move. He's not a central midfielder, he's not a striker. He only works as an attacking midfielder or a false 9 type forward. But there is no room for another attacking midfielder and a false 9 only works when your wingers provide the goals and that's not happening this year.

I dont think he is a bad player, just they should have spent 60 million pounds more wisely. They massively overperformed their goal scoring last year, so the type of regression they have now was likely. It would have behooved them to buy a forward who offered more of goal scoring threat.

It was a puzzling transfer. Puzzling at the time and even more now. Xhaka was an important ingredient last season. Just have to watch him play for Leverkusen this year. And not properly replacing him was a big mistake.

As for buying a forward, sure, an elite goalscoring striker would've been nice. But those don't grow on trees. It looks like we're left with the Toneys and Solankes of this world. Toney is a solid goalscorer, but good enough for a team challenging for the title? I'm skeptical.

As a Spurs fan I hated him when he was at Arsenal. As a Leverkusen fan I was conflicted when they signed him. Now I love him. C’est la vie.

Those forwards are difficult to find of course but if given between spending that money on Kai and not making a purchase at all, I would have opted for the latter. Could have used it for a later time. Now they are stuck with him for the time being.

Shoulda been a Pulisic fanboy instead.
I actually picked Dortmund before I even realized Reyna played there.

His offensive and defensive numbers are among the best on the team (better than the other two CAMs) but his coach refuses to use him. My only hope is the new assistant coach takes a liking to him otherwise it’ll be Ghost 2.0.

A loan makes much more sense.

We have other good options who we can use next year but this year we’re already using CBs who don’t belong at LB to fill in.

Now we just need to get rid Terzic and let Soccer-Ghost in these games and I’ll be a happy camper.

It makes a ahit ton of sense for you, and absolutely zero sense for us. Both of our natural LB/Lwb options are Injured, so naturally the best course of action is to loan out your only remaining LB.

I don't want to sell Maatsen to be very clear here, but if you think he's a piece for you moving forward, now is when he should be playing. If he's not a piece for you in the future, go for a sale. It's Flyers level management craziness.

I’m going to lose my mind. How are these guys this blind? They’re way to happy to throw away a huge asset.

Every time he plays, he makes an impact. One of the best offensively on the team (if not the best) and has been better defensively than either of the other guys in his position.

There’s literally nothing he could do to offensively or defensively to earn a consistent starting spot, apparently.

I can’t dress how much comparing him to Ghost is not a joke
