Yeh, can only reach 40 points maximum by mid-season. They have not won under Pep with so few points from first half of games.

If win today and vs Sheffield United will have 40. Still of course possible to win! But last time a team won with under 85 points was Leicester in 2015-16.

As far as I know, he's a blank slate coaching wise. He was playing until not that long ago. I don't think it's possible to know what he will be like - there's no direct correlation between playing style and coaching style that you can apply regularly. It's a strange appointment, but it could be interesting. You never know who is going to emerge, and it has to be better than a lot of retreads that are always hanging around (i.e., like hockey).

Yeah, I looked up a bunch of articles, tweets, and videos about him and they say he likes an up-tempo style and he’s had some success as a manager… but people say that same shit about guys like AV and Torts, so I don’t trust any random fans opinion on anything.

Toss up between him and Palmer, but yeah. This is dumb. The only way I can get behind this is if they're using it to fund a legitimate striker in January. And even then....


Also, I knew a clean sheet wasn't in the cards, but a non-butthole-clenching game against Luton shouldn't have been too much to ask for.
