As a Canadian I obviously want Canada to win, but I think it would be better for the sport if the U.S. won.
Having the same team win all the time isn't good, time for other countries to win sometimes.

I think Canada wins a close one, when everything is on the line we don't lose very often. Having Makar back will make a difference.

Americas statement game was Saturday. They made it.

Less of an accomplishment than you would think considering who they were taking shots on lol. US offense has been extremely unimpressive but maybe they're due.

Huh? They scored 6 vs Finland then hit 5 posts vs Sweden without three of their top forwards in a meaningless game.

They've also given up just 4 goals in the entire tournament..half of those in a meaningless game against Sweden when the team is dealing with injuries to key players. Hopefully they play the same physical game Thursday as they did last Saturday.

The majority of the US's goals in this tournament came in the 3rd period against Finland. Posts aren't even shots on net.
They've had elite goaltending and very good defensive performances but their forwards have been largely forgettable.

I believe Canada is due for a BIG game... offence... defence... goaltending. A game where everything goes right. I also believe, outside of goaltending, we have the better team and they have gelled.
Add the American injuries and I am confident we will win.

The majority of Canada's goals came in the first period vs Finland. Who cares.
And? If I told you a team got shut out and hit 30 posts or 30 shots, which would feel more unlucky?
Not like it matters, that was an exhibition game without 3 of our top forwards
They only played 2 meaningful games with their full compliment of forwards and scored 9 goals in those games.
