The weakness of US is that lack of a dominant center that elevates the wingers. You'd think Matthews could be that be he doesn't look 100%. Eichel has moments but not there. That is Canada's edge currently.

As a Canadian, I don’t care if Hughes joining the team is within the rules or not. It adds to the intrigue of the tournament. There are going to be so many eyes on this game on Thursday and he’s a talent you don’t want to miss out on showcasing. I hope he’s good to go, I’m excited.

I'd rather he played as well. In general, I'd rather win against a complete line-up.

I know it's rare and borderline impossible, but the closer the better.

Seriously though...
Canada hasn't been able to put together a 60 minutes performance (Binnington especially), so no clue how this is going to go.

I expect the US to play a tight game, like before, and keep it close.

Hopefully Canada will update their strategy and not try to Mc/Mac-one-man show it. If Makar indeed plays, that may be the tipping point.
