So, we panic yet?

I think last nights game was a "turn the corner" type effort. That was the team I watched in the playoffs, they just imposed their will, won all the loose puck battles and dominated the front of the net.

i wasn't able to see the DET or STL games live due to work. from what i read, highlights i saw and the outcomes. i think the combo of these games are highly likely to be a turning point in the season, the same way the DET game last year was.

Ya, sure. Don't resign Scuds.

"...you don't know what you got till it's gone."

more irrational bs. trade Greene also, both guys are expendable. anyone pitching this should be sent back to the LGK board. go sell crazy someplace else....were all stocked up here.

BIG TEST coming in Chicago soon.

going to be at the game. i expect this to be a great game and a possible glance at the WCF. it's time to slow down the Hawks bandwagon that is gaining momentum here again in Chicago.

Patrick Kane is the best hockey player in the world right now, the Kings D is going to need to really tighten things up.

Do you guys think Kopitar doesn't have passion after winning the Cup like Lucic said he didn't for a while after. Cause he looks unmoviated and it's well into February. He's not injured he's just not trying.

Or he's still recovering from the injury he did sustain during the lockout. That or it's Kopitar and he's slumping the way he does every season...

He's got 7 pts in 10 games played. Not dominant. But hardly a "slump".

Kopi always looks "lazy" since he's so smooth.

No worries here.

Assists are one thing but he's not even shooting or skating hard. He has 7 points but he still hasn't got that hustle were used to seeing

Greene is a stud. Still boggles my mind that people think he is expendable or worthless.

One of the best bodycheckers in the game and a fantastic PK guy, nevermind the intangibles which our pretty much off the charts as it relates to this group of guys. Our defense is soft as Charmin right now and it has more to do with Greene being out than Mitchell.

My only knock on Greene was the ridiculous penalties he was taking in our first few playoff series but last year he seemed to figure it out.

Better put your vbookie money on the line with that bold prediction.

OOps, guess hes poorhouse now.

About time for other teams to start panicking!

Really? Why would that be? The last order of the store rings run out?

Got that right. This team is headed for a second cup.

And **** the main board. Those guys just don't know hockey.

At Starbucks? Cause that's the only second cup they are in the path of right now. Define knows hockey...

Green is a fricken stud! Couldn't agree with you more. He has come a long way since acquiring him.

Ok, so panic YET? We won 2 games and lost 1 since my origonal post, and were not 3 points out of a playoff spot anymore, were 5 points out. Isn't it funny what 3 point games can do to the teams trying to either get in, or just keep up. Here's my 2 cents on the last three games. Game against St Louis was a case of the kings playing them the same way as the playoffs. The Blues looked bad. Kings win. Next. Game vs Columbus was a case of the Kings sucking LESS than the Jackets... a 2 on 0 and they lose the puck ROFL!! Kings win. Next. Kings vs Chicago. PWND! What the Kings think 1 period of hockey will get them into the playoffs? Kings lose

I think something has to change in order for the Kings to get the will to be what they were back in March last year. You can blame it on missing 2 D guys all you want. The Kings need an element of hunger on the team that they HAD last year. The fact is, they need to get good and FAST or we will be watching the Ducks in May not the Kings. Personally I've been DROOLING at the thought of the Kings/Ducks playoff series since the Disney came into the NHL and would love to see a true rivalry start.

I reviewed this post (talking to the choir boy) and I don't see anywhere someone saying to trade everyone, and fire DL. Our heads aren't cut off, and were not running around in a frenzy panic. I see some people offering their opinions on weather they think the Kings need to panic or not, and mine was to get rid of the dead weight and expose the slackers and work on them to play better. I think Richards got the message. You say we (the ones who think the kings need to change something) have no confidence or faith in the team to begin with. It's because I've seen what it took to win the cup to be able to see whats lacking this year. To question my "faith" in a team is maybe the most ridiculous comment I've read in this topic. Sorry, Faith is for God, not the Kings. I am simply a fan, just like you. Sorry for the choir boy comment, thought it was funny :D

Here's a simple way to look at it. We have 10 regulation losses left to give for the rest of the regular season if the team has a chance at making the playoffs.

Just start the countdown... 10.

in lower part of standings: entire NW division and DET&CJB....

its safe to say that they will lose points to each other... we need little help from VAN too.., but if we win next games against PAC opponent i belive that we will make it...

but if we win against EDM tonight, we are tied on 11th with 2pts back and with game in hand against everybody!....

Kings need to start playing and we will be just fine..

I think a loss tonight and it's panic time... We are falling too far behind these other teams... It's becoming impossible to catch the quacks

It's not necessary to catch them, who really wants a 48 game division title anyway?

We just need to peak going into the playoffs, it doesn't really matter the seeding at that point.

Quick will catch fire eventually. Book it.

Yeah, I'm not to worried about catching the Ducks. The Kings probably just need to catch two of Detroit, Nashville, Phoenix, San Jose, St. Louis, and/or Dallas. Pushing any of those two teams below the Kings in the standings should do the trick.

I'm thinking

Chicago
Anaheim
Vancouver

are locks to get in at this point..
.
Minnesota could make a run at a playoff berth, but the rest of the West not so much.
