Is it safe to say morrisey isnt as good as everyone thought? Or has he been battling an injury for the entire year ?

If he was getting carried by trouba then that's pretty sad

I think he's battling a injury , if not i don't get why he's playing like it's a allstar game .

I would be making a play for Sam Bennett. Good speed, physicality and he historically produces as a solid third liner. I would have no issue with him on our third.

I also wouldn't be opposed to going for a big physical second line C. We may have to step up to the plate with a 2020 2nd, 2021 1st, Roslovic, Vesalinen package to get it done but it is needed.

Or someone like Tanev. Remember that guy?

For the entire season though? Maybe his previous injury changed him as a player?

But it could also be that he just isn't that good. Good thing we got him locked up for close to what Bogo is making. Compare those two contracts and it's a steal

I would definitely like us to go to the front of the net more for tips , screens , cause the other team to take penalties . Goalies can't stop what they don't see , we are definitely looking to pass more than shoot .

What an exciting finish. Poor Connor could’ve had 4 goals. No puck luck in the end. Wasn’t a great effort to start but the third period was exciting. I just keep wondering if Morrissey has something nagging him. His skating doesn’t seem effortless anymore. Wildcard battle will be right to the end. Can’t ask for a more exciting regular season finish as a fan. Onward and upward!

So players making millions to play in the best hockey League in the world, need their coach to tell them to try. Got it.

I agree that 3 shots in the 1st was really bad, but they were up 2-1 going into the 3rd. What about that period and its coaching led the game to end 3-2 for the Sharks?

Yes, a bunch of twentysomething athletes likely do need someone to light a fire under them.

What happens in a workplace if there's no accountability? Certain people start taking advantage of things, abusing privileges, and before long the entire culture is poisoned with numerous "ruffled feathers."

Maurice hasn't held a vet accountable since the day he got here, hence the slacking off defensively seen in players like Scheifele

It appears many Jets fans hold Maurice accountable for nothing. The terrible and stale PK for years isnt his fault, massive underperformance from the PP isnt either, and the huge tank job this team pulled off during the 2nd half of last season isnt his fault either.

The only thing this team is good at right now is goaltending, and that's probably the spot Maurice can affect the least.

At some point it's just time for change, Maurice has been a mediocre coach with mediocre results his entire career. Cant see why that would change now.

Do that many people actually think Chipman and Chevy are complete morons to sign a coach that gives us absolutely no chance to win because the coach is the worst coach to ever coach the game ? Chipman , who figured out a way to get a hockey team back in a city the league didn't want a team in . Chevy who i think has done a good job drafting and getting our core re-signed . Chevy and Chipman aren't stupid guys and i really think they want to win so they aren't going to sign a guy who can't coach . Anyway hope we play better tomorrow and get on a roll .:thumbu:

I'd say the kept a coach that gives us a small chance to win, not no chance at all. And they kept him because of familiarity. The least change possible is the best for Chevy and chipman.

True North kept Maurice because they fear change.

Being overly loyal is not always a good thing.

change brings pressure for results. As long as we are drafting and developing and getting younger every single year while keeping all the same coaching staff there is no pressure to win.

Maurice's career numbers speak otherwise. They're not stupid, that much is obvious. But winning games is also not their number one priority, that much is even more obvious.

Empty seats at Bell MTS Centre because fans are frustrated watching a mediocre product for years on end should bring some added pressure for results.

I felt bad for Poolman he was soooooo rusty, that was the worst game I have seen him play in Winnipeg. Kuli was very sloppy too. Tough night for that pair they were having allot of trouble getting out of their end.

Missed the game, only saw the highlights. From those, Poolman looked rough. Would appear he got walked and/or was chasing for all 3 goals against.
