In fairness Florida are an actual club. Vegas rode Marsh on an out of body career heater coming on at just the perfect time. Plus us having idiot coachng AND weak goaltending in that series.

Watching Florida play today they're still real, and they were doing similar to what Oilers were taking it easy in regular season.

I don't care how many teams he's linked to or how many interviews he's given, I think Woodcroft's real chance of landing another NHL head coaching job is near zero. And deservedly so.

Shoulda kept his amazing transition from rigid man on man defense to rigid zone defense on the down low. Any team doing research on him can see him proudly announcing his zone defense discovery/transition and the disasters that resulted before and after.

Credit to Knobloch for pulling the right strings. Kapanen played his best hockey by far in his first few games and then his game fell off a cliff down the stretch. Good guy to inject. I wouldn’t doubt that Max Jones might be similar although I hope it doesn’t come to that.

Said it yesterday too that Dallas winning last night so convincingly over Winnipeg probably would motivate Edmonton to close this out ASAP. The cautious game 7 mindset the team had to start makes a lot of sense when you view it through that lens.

Sure. After one period of watching this slobberyhockey that Vegas want to play I said the Oilers scoring first and last felt inevitable. After 2nd period I said it was going to be a 1-0 win. Then I called the Kapanen winner. haha.

I would gamble if I believed in it.

jk aside the trouble with Vegas playing this kind of conservative game is it would just end badly for them. The only time in game they were giving themselves a chance was last 5mins of 2nd period. Other than that they were just waiting for death sentence.

Vegas had no chance to win in OT. Looked like they were just trying to chop trees out there.
