The Seth hatred is blind at this point
There is this really cool but complicated play that I used to teach to Mites. It's called make a pass, move your feet and get a pass. You guys are really reaching on the Seth hatred. He gives it to Bedard they immediately challenge him because he's the one guy you can't give space and he gives it back to Seth.
This is just a bad take manThis team is garbage because we have garbage management and ownership, Stan the Man era never ended, enjoy another 5 years of failure until they finally realize what’s happening, this is why they should have went in a completely new direction once Stan the Man was gone but instead they hire his pathetic clueless student.
TBH, I can't disagree. KD has not been very impressive but the verdict is still out to some degree - at least he is sticking to the rebuild plan. This team is garbage because we have garbage management and ownership, Stan the Man era never ended, enjoy another 5 years of failure until they finally realize what’s happening, this is why they should have went in a completely new direction once Stan the Man was gone but instead they hire his pathetic clueless student.
As you say, the give-and-go is a play NO PRO hockey player needs to be taught. Luke isn't on the ice making the dumb decisions. Luke doesn't tell the players not to execute. It is too dam easy to blame the coach for having a shitty team to work with. We've seen the current team work hard at times and play competitive hockey it just happens too infrequently of late. Of course it doesn't help when they lose 70 percent of the draws and ops team is a SC contender. There is this really cool but complicated play that I used to teach to Mites. Now, let's all try it together. Jones to Bedard, Jones moves to a better position, Bedard passes it back to Jones.
This team is reflective of their coaching. D U M B
Most realistic people are expecting ~5more years of being bad. This team is garbage because we have garbage management and ownership, Stan the Man era never ended, enjoy another 5 years of failure until they finally realize what’s happening, this is why they should have went in a completely new direction once Stan the Man was gone but instead they hire his pathetic clueless student.

Something’s gone very wrong if 5 years after this year the Hawks can’t get into the playoffs. I would say 3 years after this year the Hawks should be solidly in the mix for the playoffs. Most realistic people are expecting ~5more years of being bad.
I mean, in the mix for the playoffs doesn't make you a good team, imo. A better team, yes, but not a good team. I'm not saying we are going to be bottom 5 -10 bad for 5 more years, but 4 or 5 years from now, they will probably be a fringe playoff team at best, which maybe isn't a bad team per se, but it's not a good team either.Something’s gone very wrong if 5 years after this year the Hawks can’t get into the playoffs. I'm not lying when I say it will be depressing if that is the realistic timeline. I expect to be fighting for a wild card spot in 2 years after this season.I mean, in the mix for the playoffs doesn't make you a good team, imo. A better team, yes, but not a good team. No. But it will take time for our recent picks to be really good players in this league. Most Dmen take 3-5 years, and our forwards will take 2-3 minimum. I don't see them making big splashes in free agency.5 more years of being bad? Are we striving to be the next Buffalo?
I hope so, I just don't see the path. Unless we have multiple prospects make huge leaps, which typically doesn't happen.I'm not lying when I say it will be depressing if that is the realistic timeline. I expect to be fighting for a wild card spot in 2 years after this season.
Agreed. Joey needs gone. Dickinson needs to sit a few games as does Mikheyev who is fast and tries but I'd rather have one or two of the above 3 players in the bottom 6. TT needs to play like he did in the 3rd period last night (when he shockingly delivered a hit to make a play). Luke needs to light a fire under his ass, somehow. He's seldom aggressive, essentially a PP specialist...Anderson is so bad, man. Where is Dach, Savoie or Slaggert? What is the plan? They should be taking ice of time in games like this

We have major holes everywhere, with no players outside of Bedard and Vlasic who should have a future here. It's unfortunate that none of the players drafted before Bedard have made any kind of impact yet. It's going to be a challenge for this team to even make the playoffs for 3+ years.
Buffalo has been bad for a long time, 5 years is nothing to them.
They are not being rushed. Which is the correct way.Anderson is so bad, man. Where is Dach, Savoie or Slaggert? What is the plan? They should be taking ice of time in games like this
I can see that .... but TBH if Dach is not ready now for at least a look I have my doubts whether he ever will be. Savoie and Slaggert perhaps but I think Slags looked pretty good in his brief stint. One thing for sure, the line-up needs an injection of physicality. Any bottom 6 guy who plays like he has eggs in his pocket should be watching from the press box. They are not being rushed. Which is the correct way.
Should, realistically, probably not. Not many teams who are torn down to the studs are competitive in less than 5 years. One major FA singing, guys developing, and a top 3 pick from this season should have them close to being a bubble playoff team in 2-3 years.
I'll settle for being hard on the puck which should include leveraging your body to get the puck. The second Dallas goal is a prime example with both Hall and Reichel beaten off the end wall and both being on the wrong side of the puck.Agreed. Joey needs gone. .... and can we please get some semblance of physicality on the boards? The team has been charmin' soft recently.
