They play again tomorrow, but this time in Brno, Czech Republic.

Awful city by the way.

Awful city? Why? :dunno:
We won 2:1 BTW but that still does not wipe out the 5:0 thrashing... That was a disgraceful result :madfire:

Because Brno is just a horrible place. It's old, ugly and so on.

Another horrible place : Plzen. I would even say it's the worst place in the Czech Republic. :(

Well that very much depends on what you have seen from it :shakehead Every city has its s.hity parts. Prague has them, Moscow has them, New York too. Calling these places awful is a little over the top but that is obviously just my opinion :dunno:

You're right. But the difference between Prague and Plzen, is that Prague is 70% great, 30% horrible. Plzen is 95% horrible.

Any news on the Slovakia roster?

:dunno: There is a list of players at their camp, in the first post. The list doesn't include the players playing in the playoffs right now. Some of these players include Handzus, Zednik, Orszagh, Satan and Lasak.

As for Lasak, what a player. He wins the championship for Pardubice in heroic fashion :handclap:

Yes, ive read that, i wondered if the roster had been cut down from the 30+ players listed there.

In goal for Slovakia is Lasak for sure or does Stana have a chance?

I think Lasak's performance in the playoffs well definitely help his cause. He finished with a .945 save percentage, which is unbelievable. However, I have also read that Stana played well in Sweden. Both goalies probably merit a chance, but personally, I hope they give Lasak the ball. I enjoy watching him play, ever since the 2002 IHWC.

Slovakia should be fun to watch, if nothing else. As always, loads of offensive talent up front. Plus, the players have always taken pride in playing for their country. I didn't see Chara on the list, and didn't see an explanation on Chara's absence. If he's not there, it's a big blow to a team that's always struggled on the blue line. They look to be on par with the team from the World Cup, while most of the other super powers aren't as strong. That's good news for Slovakia, and they may be able to beat a couple of the traditionally stronger squads.

Chara isnt on the first list as he was playing in Sweden at the time of the first post. Hes a lock for the team for sure.

I don't see how this defense unit can stop Canada's, or even Czech Republic's offenses.

We still are missing Chara and Visnovsky so thats 25% of our D. I think we will do allright with that defense.

We wont meet Canada until the quarters (and probably even then) and we meet CZE in the 2nd group stage.

We have had worser defensive units and have done well.

Big names dont always mean success. Also another difference is here we are playing on the big ice, which beneftis guys like Strbak.

Is Zalesak going to make the final roster?
Id say he wont. We are looking for players for the 4th line and he aint a player who is a defense-first forward.

His chances are slim.

What in your estimation is the final roster going to be Bondra?

Do you think Meszaros will be a top 6 D?

Think they could possibly pair him with Chara?

Meszaros wont be with Chara, Chara will be with Lintner.

Meszaros COULD be a top 6, but I doubt it.

Final roster? Too early to tell. In a weeks time Ill make one when everybody will have finished playing the finals and will attend the camp.

Lintner

@Peter Bondra

Do you really think Lintner will play this WC? I have my doubt, because he d'oesnt play really often this season. He lost his place, because of the lock out stars in Switzerland.
