I’m not saying he was particularly bad today, but one thing this team could really use is some consistent goal scoring from Laine. He should really have more than 15 goals with that shot and the minutes he gets.

Our defense can not move the puck and we rely on our forwards to push the play all the time.
We are forced to dump and chase as a result.

It is time to bring in a defenseman to help out the back end.

I don't have numbers to support this, but havent we basically been a dump and chase team for years? Seems like weve been playing far more dump and chase than most other teams for years already

You cannot lose 6 straight at home without making some kind of move.
Something aside from a bad group on d is wrong with this squad.
Unfortunately,you cannot trade all the players therefore, the coach must go unless TN is ok with this season being a writeoff??

Take away that awful first period and I thought the team played pretty well in the second and third.

Niku got a lot of minutes tonight and while he was still pretty rough around the edges he at least was trying to make things happen with the puck. Was more confident carrying it, moving it and jumping up in the play. He needs to build off of this.

JoMo outside a few miscues with the puck in his own end played another really strong game and crushed all his underlying metrics. Needs to keep building off his last few games.

Pionk had another solid game and and JoMo look like they could make a real nice pair. Need to figure out the second and third pairs.

Kuli was solid and Bietto was Bietto.

Top line had their chances but couldn't cash. Needed to get to the front of the ent a bit more.

The second line was off again. Wheeler isn't able to get much generated and Roslovic just seems to carry the puck way too long and as a result kills plays. I would be ok moving on from him if we could get a solid second pairing dmen for him.

Third line outside of Lowry's awful turnover for the one goal this game played a strong grinding game. They need to turn some of that possesion into more shots and chances.

Shore and Appelton had solid work man like games. Get Bourque off the ice as he didn't accomplish much of anything.

we need to replace rosie on that line, 17 points in 45 games while playing 90% of the time with ehlers and wheeler just isn't good enough

Couple of posts and a goaltender that found himself in front of a few shots that probably surprised him as much as the shooter.

Played well enough to win in the 2nd and 3rd but couldn't finish - lots of point shots that are getting through but no tips. Need more traffic in front if we are going to rely on our point shooters.

I wouldn't warm up the tank thread over this one - it was close.

Fire the coaching staff , acquire a quality defensman or just do nothing and watch us fall in the standings.

So then let's re-tool and make another run in a year or two. We need a few pieces but have a solid core here.

I for one wish the Jets would open things up and play more high event hockey. We have the firepower to win high scoring games. Futher, at least this would be entertaining for the fans, win or lose. I'm tired of Maurice and his love affair for grinder style hockey. It's too boring and I dont think our skill players are suited to it.

Agree and start playing the young guys like Appleton Niku and Harkins and not Bourque Shore and Dahlstrom

Dump and chase works if you have the puck pursuit to go with it - possession in the O zone is the name of the game and I don't care how they do it.
Turnovers off the rush didn't help us tonight - I would have preferred more dump.

I think Laine had solid game espicially on own end. Niku was good and 109988872663 times better than Sbisa has ever been.

They need a shake up. I see other teams try to fix problems, Jets just say, be patient. Somehow I don't think the Leafs would have left the Byfuglien situation just in Limbo. I am sure they would have found a way to utilize that Cap space. It makes me wonder if the Jets ownership is simply trying to save money. Even the Ottawa Senators are spending more than us on their team.

Jets are on a tight budget and shouldn't expect one thin dime from Thomson.

Perrault makes 4.5 mil as a fourth liner. You would have to include draft picks with him. Every team has a Roslovic in the AHL
