Post-Game Talk: Skinner with another spectacular Game 4 win

Another Toronto Maple Leaf great!! 10 are still in the playoffs, Klingberg, Hyman, Kapanen, Connor Brown, Marchment, Ceci and a few I don t remember. Wonder what Mitch, Willie and Captain underpants are up to??
I see that Marchment wasnt drafted but played for Marlies. Verhaegae also played in Toronto. who makes these decisions in Toronto? I still remember they run Larry Murphy outta town. First year outta Toronto he wins his 3rd cup.
Has he watched his own team lol
they still think we have no defence, no goaltending, and Drai and McDavid do all the scoring. McDavid and Drai are in on 18% now.

Wow, can we pin this post on the mains? Hyman has been unreal, he's had a lot of great playoffs here but this might be his best one, a hitting, scoring, offense creating machine.
Shout out to Nuge as well who has stepped up his game big time. This core is the anti-Leafs, they get better and better as the games get bigger and I'm adding Skinner in that who has taken his Hasek-like play in Games 4-7 and has moved it to Games 2 and 3 now.

Marchment played in the NHL for the Laffs in 19/20. Was traded to FLA in season for Malgin. Not Malkin, some trash can named Malgin)

sounds like another great trade by Leafs
best trade was 1st rounder to Devils for Kurvers. Toronto traded him after 2 seasons to Canucks. New Jersey used 1st rounder and drafted a player named Scott Niedermayer

Agreed. Remember Tukka Rask was a Leaf too. They have given up on a lot of young players who became good/great and got beans back in trades.

I haven't paid any attention to the points leaders, but did Connor pass the GREAT Rantanen? Wowww
I never understood why media folks and even some Oiler fans were polishing Rantanen so much. He's been a ghost most of the time after his trade from Colorado outside of like 3-4 playoff games, some folks were acting as if he's McDrai level, it was crazy. Very good player of course who can still show up in a big way in this series but his play is highly inconsistent.

We wont even bring up the 80's. What a gong show.
I know this is an Oilers site and we are suppose to be celebrating an Oilers win but I love getting my digs in on Toronto. I hate everything Toronto. Prefer to be 40,000 feet above it when I'm passing by

how big a brisket?
what u use for Smoker. I have a Pit Boss
I'm trying to get courage up to smoke a brisket
I did a full packer. Louisiana pellet grill from Costco a few years ago, I'm still learning, the "point" is more forgiving because of the fat content, the flat I find tough to get right.

Took it off this morning and I'm ok with it, but the flat seems like it was drier. The pork shoulder is perfect, much more forgiving.

Weird game. Worst played game of the series but the biggest win. Some very opportunistic scoring by some very skilled players.

Skinner was huge in the 2nd. His best game by a mile, which is funny considering the 3 shutouts. But those shutouts the team played pretty close to flawless defensive hockey. Tonight they gave up a whack of good chances against and Skinner made some big saves. He made a handful of saves that he wasn’t making in any of his losses.

We also got lucky with some posts, but you take those when you get em.

Never would have thought I’d say this, but hopefully Brown isn’t too badly hurt because he’s been awesome so far and will be missed if he comes out of the lineup. Although having Skinner and Arvidsson as options to step in is pretty good depth.

Yeah Brown has been crazy good this post season actually. Likely out with concussion you would think, which means 10 days minimum out right? I think that is the league mandated rule right?
