When he’s healthy I would expect he plays AHL games to get up to speedSo he’s not injured and it’s the intent for him to play games in the minors to get his game back?

It's just to shit on the Sharks and Grier. It's okay. Why Sharks Sending Askarov to AHL Makes Sense…For Now
Yaroslav Askarov is ready to roll. But not for the San Jose Sharks, not quite yet. Askarov, arguably the top goaltending prospect in the world, was assigned to the San Jose Barracuda on Friday morning. Askarov has yet to practice in Sharks training camp, after suffering a lower-body injury right...sanjosehockeynow.com
Please, I beg of you, non-Sharks fans, stop trying to make this a story.
So he’s not injured and it’s the intent for him to play games in the minors to get his game back?
The problem isn't asking the question, the problem is ignoring pages of discussion. It takes like 5 minutes to read a page or two of a thread before jumping in.Lol jfc. Don't ask any questions on a message board, y'all. You'll be treated like a f***ing moron.
He'll get healthy in the AHL, and get called up when blackwood or Vanecek get injured. One of them is likely gone at or before the deadline, and then he's full time with the Sharks and it's his starting position to win/lose.What is plan a here?
Is it one more year in minors while Blackwood and vanecek fight for 1 in NHL?
Or.
Wait till he's healthy and jettison one of Blackwood or vanecek?
Seems like a solid plan. I think he's going to be awesome. Sharks are in for hell this year but I think they are rebuilding nicely. He'll get healthy in the AHL, and get called up when blackwood or Vanecek get injured. If he missed camp, I see him getting conditioned and playing regularly then getting called up with the plan of having him eligible for AHL playoffs. I dont know his game countdown and what triggers waivers. He'll get healthy in the AHL, and get called up when blackwood or Vanecek get injured. Don’t ask a question which suggests you totally ignored or are denying a statement of fact made multiple times in previous posts in the thread, because that leads others to believe a) you have an agenda and are trolling, or b) you actually are a f***ing moron.Lol jfc. Don't ask any questions on a message board, y'all. You'll be treated like a f***ing moron.
Its objective truth ATPNow that its been a few months.
I think Trotz made a huge mistake this off season. Should have kept Askarov and traded Saros for a big bundle and went with a quick rebuild instead of singing aging free agents.
Imagine the assets and young players they would have gotten with trades. in 2-3 years they would have been so good. Now you got an aging Stamkos, ROR, Josi, Forsberg and Marchassault. Its objective truth ATP
His numbers were amazing even before we traded him too, which is just as sad.His minor league numbers are insane this year. Feels bad as a preds fan, man
His AHL numbers are pretty good, except when he plays against more competitive teams or is in the playoffs, then he starts to look ordinary. Which has been his bugaboo, so far, in his career. His minor league numbers are insane this year. Feels bad as a preds fan, man
Nash had to make a decision. Opted for the veteran as they wanted to still compete. This looks like highway robbery for SJ at this point and it feels like the main reason that Askarov isn't in the NHL is that he'd pull SJ out of their tank too quickly.
Once again, Josi and Forsberg couldn't be traded unless they wanted to be. They both have full NMC's. That alone would have tempered any return anyone thinks either might have pulled assuming they agreed to waive in the first place. Now that its been a few months.

Could have gotten a lot for Josi, Forsberg and Saros.
Is that you Trotz? Want a list of players traded with NMC? I can't believe how many times people post this kind of stuff.Once again, Josi and Forsberg couldn't be traded unless they wanted to be. Once again, none of us have any idea whether they would have or not. Even if they agreed they are still going to want to choose where they want to go. They aren't just going to freely waive for anyone. Is that you Trotz? Want a list of players traded with NMC? I can't believe how many times people post this kind of stuff.
Hey Josi want to be a part of a rebuild?
Josi - Ah hell no.
Ok then loosen up the NMC
Its not difficult.
You are right, none of us do. Except you because you are the one saying otherwise right?Once again, none of us have any idea whether they would have or not. Even if they agreed they are still going to want to choose where they want to go. They aren't just going to freely waive for anyone.
It's crazy looking at the NHL standings right now. Most people thought the signings made the Predators contenders again to go along with that trio. Now that its been a few months.
