Kane is a good player. That’s really all the good there. Both players can’t just be good players and scum at the same time?
1.Rodgers only lied to media, not the league and maybe not evem his teammates.
2. Kane has a longer history of being an ahole, from previously, has domestic abuse charges, blew all his money on gambling drugs and prostitutes, and many other problens. Comparing his history to rodgers would be disingenuous.

O for sure a waiver claim is for 7 million. I'm not shocked no one wanted him for free.

I thought a team would have went for a trade. It may have cost too much for Sanjose though.
Why do you think a team wont. He can still be traded after waovers. Thats the plan id think. He just hired new agent who is in talks with teams. I dont know why you thought a trade would have had to already happen immediately.

What's up with you weirdos continuing to push phantom charges/allegations that were since investigated and ruled unsubstantiated every time something legal came up in terms of assault/abuse/betting/etc. I know this forum likes to dogpile on Kane for reasons I can only imagine. Dude has issues. Most of them dying after an investigation. There's literally racists and coke sniffers in the NHL, but all the rage is focused on this one dude.

He doesn't act like how a good ole NHL boy should act. He should go play basketball if he wants to act that way.

I know the guy has been a Douche but he hasn't done anything illegal and he is working through bankruptcy to try and make that right the same as any person has a right to. A guy has to have a chance to redeem himself and this board takes things too far sometimes.

Lets go over this:

1) did he kill anyone? ( Heatley, Mctavish)-Nope
2) Did he sexually assault someone or not report one to anyone? (Blackhawks team-GM, Pittsburgh team-GM )-Nope
3) Did he beat her up or anyone up?-Nope

He did get prostitutes' and gambled all his money away, which while a waste is legal in this country.

People need to grow up and look in the mirror a little bit, because you might not like what is staring you back if your completely honest with yourself. We are all human and can make mistakes, but because we are fans of a GAME this fellow happens to play we get to judge him?

Save the animosity for real dirtbags of the world.

Because that's not what happened.

Ethically a DA must believe they have a reasonable chance of conviction to go through with charges. That becomes problematic when a situation is he said-she said, or no one said anything in the case of a lot of abuse and rape. They do not rule that the alleged crime is unsubstantiated, rather there isn't enough evidence to reasonably expect a criminal conviction. However, the burden of proof for a civil trial is much less and only needs to be more likely than not, rather than beyond a reasonable doubt, and the civil case in regards to Kane's alleged sexual assault back in 2015 was given the go ahead to proceed just last week. We can wait to see what comes from that, but six years trying to get to court against a person who is literally bankrupt probably means she cares more about holding him accountable than money.

With respect to the charges in the bar, the prosecutors and police watched video of his encounter with the three separate women and charged him. As the charges were misdemeanors, the judge decided to do what's called an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal which is pretty much saying "look we don't want to tie up court resources with petty crimes, so stay out of trouble for six months and you'll get your charges dismissed." At no point did they say that the claims were unsubstantiated, in fact very much the opposite.

Anna Kanes' allegations are new and in a divorce proceeding, not a criminal trial. She could still go to police, but again, he-said, she-said, events from several years ago are near impossible to to prove but there's no indication they were even investigated.

And Kane's other ex, Khloe Terae, only made an Instagram post.

But again, unless you think Bill Cosby isn't a rapist because he doesn't have a criminal record, then you don't need to see a criminal conviction when six separate women have claimed physical abuse.

@Chayos A chance to redeem himself? ROFL. He's already had many chances to do that. That's in the rear-view mirror now.

Finally Someone with a brain.

If someone doesn't play the good ol "Canadian white boy" way of hockey, he apparently has no business playing in the NHL

How about being a giant locker room distraction in the ultimate team sport?

But yeah lets pull the race card cuz hur dur, nobody wants to baby a 30 year old and have to answer media questions due to his continuous poor life decisions.

Oh so you mean not doing any of the following: having multiple sexual assault allegations, being a cancer on every team he's played for, not getting along with team mates, leaving his pregnant wife and kid at home while he gets prostitutes and parties, lying about a COVID-19 vaccination, putting his family $26.8 million in debt for partying and gambling, digging himself into a massive hole and doing absolutely nothing to right the ship is the "white boy" way of playing then yes, yes he has no business playing in the NHL.

There's always fools like you bringing the race card into it. Get out of here with that nonsense.

It's funny because you have no clue what kind of disservice you are doing to every single other black player that has played in the league and managed to not be a piece of shit to use skin color to defend him.
