This site has a long record of poorly managing things. Xenforo is the easiest to admin of any forum software, so the fact this site has major flaws is telling.

This new annoying trick of having two ads playing at the bottom and the top simultaneously is extremely annoying.

Also the volume control just doing whatever it wants, I almost pooped my pants once my phone just starts blasting an ad for an F-150 out of nowhere and I wasn't even on the site. I was on another page.

The advertising on this site is a joke.

As I said in the other thread, I don’t mind a top or bottom ad, but both is cruel

Well, you could become a sponsor and get no ads and thus, no reload bug.

Basically, the board has a cost that you can pay by either being a sponsor or watching ads. Not being a sponsor and avoiding the ads through other means feels shady to me. If all the non-sponsors avoid ads, it will be very difficult for the owners of the board to sell advertising, probably leading to them doing one of two things: putting the whole board behind a paywall or shutting it down.

I was perfectly happy to not block the ads previously, when they didn’t break the site. But the current ads do break the site. They’re very poorly implemented.

I use other message boards, they’re all ad supported, and I browse them on mobile Chrome (no ad blocking). I literally only use an ad-blocking browser for this site, because it’s the only website I visit where ads break the site.

Other sites can run ads and not make their own site a pile of useless garbage. I am willing to white list sites I use consistently from my ad block...unless you make your site unusable. I run ad block on here and feel absolutely no shame over it. They lost the ad money not me by making the ads as intrusive as they have. I am sure as hell not paying them money for their decision to lay the site out as they have, so that takes sponsorship out of the question. They do not deserve my support.

Threads are reloading randomly causing posts to be lost.

iOS Safari in this case.

This site is poorly constructed and needs help. Why is it acceptable ?
 
Does anyone else on mobile have the problem of the keyboard randomly disappearing as you’re typing? Doesn’t happen to me anywhere else and it occasionally ends up with me clicking an ad I’d have otherwise never touched.

It’s not acceptable to lose posts because threads reload randomly.

HFboards is setup improperly.

This site has a long-standing problem with poor administration. Xenforo is easy to admin. Ask in the Xenforo forums if the web admins / staff can’t figure it out.

I will re-iterate.
There are people at xenforo.com that would do this for stupid reasonable prices.

If you are wondering how I know the version of Xenforo this site uses, well, it's just another indication that the admins here dont understand basic security.

The fact that this site uses a theme from a banned developer, known for shady business practices, is JUST ANOTHER sign the admins here dont know what they are doing.

I am discussing this to help this site.

I did suggest Xenforo a few years before this site eventually did it.

Migration and Software Upgrade is Still in Progress. It is taking longer than expected but we expect to get it done.
Search will have to be indexed on the new platform so it's not going to work properly for at least a day. Addons like Sportsbook, Media Gallery, and Articles will take some time to be fully configured but will be functional. The new server cluster provides the resources we need to avoid disruptions with heavy traffic.
There will be a new bookmark system, but existing ones will not be carried over. If you want to keep them you need copy them.
Light and dark styles will be provided. Emojis and push notifications will be supported and we expect to add a progressive web app. As always there will be some suffering.

did they re-snapshot the database or just we lose a few days of information ?

Can we get rid of the “It looks like you are using an AdBlocker” by Admiral page shows after every damn link click? Have you seen this site without an adblocker? It’s a cesspool of ads.

I use Safari.
