Speculation: Simple question, Playoffs Yes or No

They're actually closer than you think. What we need currently is some offense.

Stutzle is leading the Sens with 41 points in 40 games. That puts him at 31st in league scoring. He has only scored 12 goals. (25 expected goals on the year)

I don't know how we expect to win as a team when our best player is so far behind the rest of the league in scoring.

This is not the old NHL where a point per game puts you in the top 5 in scoring. The Sens lack an enormous amount when it comes to talent at the forward position.

I know Stutzle can dive with the best of them, but this isn't the summer Olympics.

Also part of what helps players get in the top of league scoring besides just being McDavid or someone ridiculously talented is chemistry with linemates. We don’t really have a top line, gotta try and find a finisher with speed to play with Brady and Timmy next year.

Such a sad realization that we do not have a top line yet.

That pick we have to give away might end up being a better player than anyone on this current roster.

I think they are farther than you think.

To say that currently all we need is offense and that puts us "closer than you think" is a bit silly.

Last time I checked offense is pretty important in winning. Halfway through the season it is highly likely that what the offense has shown already is the best predictor of what they will show the second half of the year.

The offense is bad and most likely will be bad.

No true at all. They are still learning new coaching systems. They are still thinking a little bit. Once they stop thinking the offense will come.
