Realistically...what does it take?? 15 straight losses? I'm not sure if that even does it.

i dont care if its a short season... i think 2 non post seasons after all the money they've spent, AND the existing history... should be enough to finally do it.

unfortunately, i think they will find a way in just to continue our punishment...

Good:

VHP, as usual.
Miller did enough for us to win.

Bad:

Lack of secondary scoring, as usual.

Ugly:

Lindy essentially giving up on Grigs.
Faceoffs.
Coaching.

Good -

- On-ice microphones were great tonight.

Bad -

- Team defense. Forwards in bad position and easily outworked, too much reaching with sticks and not skating to and through checks.
- So much for being tougher and sticking up for one another. Seems a lot of the usual softies are being softies. He Leo, grow a set.
- 2 goals for the rest of the team after 4 games? Heh.

Ugly -

- Faceoffs are killing them. Too much time chasing because they don't have possession to start.

Quoting myself (again) from a few weeks ago...

"I don't see much upside in the coaching staff being forced to groom a #1 center. I'm not very anti-Ruff, but I don't see him as knowing what do to with young, even elite, talent at the center position. He can coach up a bunch of grinders and defensive forwards, but getting the most out of young and offensive minded talent is probably not Ruff's best quality."

G: Miller, Sulzer/Erhoff, Vanek's goal, not much more

B: Playing Grigs with Scott, Hecht and Kaleta's ice time when a goal was needed.
Line combo's, Myers, Leo,

U:Myers looked gassed since the 2nd period. The shortened and squeezed season gets harder every night now. We're only 4 games in and most of the team is looking totally bagged out.

Team conditioning will be an issue the next 10 days or so. Who ever comes thru with a winning percentage will have an advantage towards a playoff slot.

Back to Back top 5 picks. Yes im dead serious. If he wasnt fired for the debacle's that were 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 seasons then I dont think he will be fired ever. And yes I know he was given a reprieve because of the whole Rigas situation.

Lindy: (on Grigs not playing) "I wanted a tougher matchup on Staal so that's why we moved Kaleta up"

"I let other coaches dictate what I do"

This season is going to be really depressing once Grigorenko is sent down and we won't have anything to look forward to later in the season, it's quite obvious we aren't a playoff team.

This could be a very painful season, at least it's shortened.

Vanek is selfish for taking that penalty when he did.

Time is running out, we are down a goal, so he decides it's time to settle a personal feud and deliver a world class cross-check.

It also shows he has zero respect for his coach (we knew that already).

Not that he should have any respect for that never-was.

Yeah, that Lindy comment doesn't even make sense...I guess he just made up a reason, who knows.

Anyone listen to the Ruff PC?

You have to love the cream puff questions coming from our crack press corp in Buffalo...LOL

Can you imagine if Ruff coached in Boston or NY? They would have nailed him to the cross for some of his decisions in this game.

That penalty doesn't get called often.

Lindy is a ****ing idiot. How is Grigorenko going to learn to play in a tight spot if he doesn't PLAY in those spots. He can handle it. This is just so frustrating that this guy is still the coach. No clue, no idea how to utilize the talent he has.

But hey, I'm being hysterical.

He's talking about a tougher line out against Staal not about getting caught with Grigs out against Staal

But with the current hysteria on the board is in right now, rational thought has left the building.

how long til i get the joshjull post i've always truly wanted?

guess?

Well which is it? He can handle it or he needs to learn?
