Lindy gets coached to coach right? Maybe he should try to have our centers work on faceoffs?

Oh of course not, he's going to be too busy giving Hecht a back massage.

Remember when we signed Hecht and everyone acted like it was just a depth signing and Lindy wouldn't be using him a lot? Yeah, he played over 18 minutes. Meanwhile, Grigs got benched for some unknown reason for 1 1/2 periods.

You'd think a Russian killed someone dear to him the way he misuses them.

It's not a good team. Just watch what happens to them when Miller isn't saving pucks at a .950 clip. They're going to get shelled. They have no defensive center that can do the heavy lifting in the defensive zone and win faceoffs consistently. Their blueline is below-average.

If Miller gets hurt this year, this team will be picking in the top-5. Probably not high enough to get Seth Jones, sadly.

same posts as 4 years ago :(

hey, i wanted Lindy fired in 2004... he just got a reprieve as he road the tails of a stacked roster and a unique moment in hockey...

but yes... when he wasn't fired during the massive slump 2 years ago... that was the missed opportunity, because they somehow turned it around... and then the team was sold to a fan... the same type of fans we have around here who have ball washing Lindy for a decade of mostly crap.

I don't feel like micro-analysing right now. Carolina's goalie stood on his head on won the game for them. It really is that simple. Happens sometimes.

Pegula said he believes Lindy has the ability to "change"

Sorry but you can't teach an old dog new tricks, he has already reverted back to his old self.

May as well give up on players, the big problem will never go anywhere. So as soon as a player hits the wall here, he's done. Ship him off.

Huh? I'm sure you're being facetious. Three years still not enough time I guess? 22 years old still too young? He's ready yet Grigs can't even get some decent time on ice? Let's make excuses for him because he's 6'8 and has 'potential' to be good. Never mind his humungous contract that most definitely should be considered...

I can be facetious too.

It's the same old at this point with the majority of this team. It's a reflection of the coach.

Agreed, while they may have the center depth in the system (very young and raw) the lack of a potential top pairing defenseman is concerning....I'm not convinced Myers has the head to take his game to the next level...If he does it is still years away.

The Buffalo Sabres make very backup goalie play like the second coming of Patrick Roy.

It's so ****ing predictable, it's ridiculous.

If anything, about every coach in the league knows Ruff and his style and what they'll see on a given night. It's been the same for 2-3 seasons and only Miller makes Ruff look semi-good.

My God, what a talent killer Ruff is.
He should be fired immediately for his bungling of the Grigorenko situation. What an outrage.

This 100%, that Florida team has half the talent of this roster.
