Kinkaid has had FOUR seasons that make current Georgiev look like a star.

Goergiev sucks but goaltending sucks. Goaltending is bizarrely terrible league-wide. It's the worst goaltending season since like, the early 90's. Makes Shesterkin's season even more impressive.

Kinkaid was Georgiev when goaltending was at a peak.
I think it looks like more goalies suck because skaters keep getting more skilled.

I read Kreider is out against Washington. I assume the same for Zib. Wondering how many other regulars won't dress.

A few 20-22yr olds can't run this team yet (and georgie was the one who lost this game 100%). Shocker. If we had the full lineup+Shesty, this is more than likely a 4-0,4-1 beat down. How there is any doom and gloom here is astonishing after such a meaningless game.

The NYR spent 5yrs out of the post season/rebuilding. This game was a great test for the Rangers youth program. They didn't look that great. Goals by 3 players that might not even be around next year.

Laffy and Kaapo don't have to score every night, but their lack of effectiveness is pretty disconcerting.
Kaapo gets a pass, i guess, but this guy has to get his health in order. One dominating shift would be nice occasionally. . These are the #1/2 OA!!

Chytil seems capable, but just doesn't materialize. Time is running out on this guy.
Gauthier seems pretty useless. Hunt as well.

Any and all playoffs will be a plus as far as development and experience.

Drury will have a lot to do in the offseason

Jones was our best player. He wont get into many playoff games , if any, as long a we stay healthy but his progression is very encouraging for next year.

Im not taking much from this game for the regulars but i was disappointed in Kakko tonight. Didnt take charge in the offensive zone, skates around with the puck doing nothing with it and still refuses to shoot. A step backwards from him.

The only young player this game meant something for was Kakko imo, he needs to get back into game shape.

For Laf & Chytil, the game is pretty meaningless. They are NHL regulars gearing up for the playoffs not fighting for jobs, theres no reason for them to go balls to the wall in a game like this.

As for the bolded, id be pretty shocked if Drury makes even 1 significant outside addition. I would think the organization is overall very happy with where their young players are overall.

This may be a stupid question with the matchups not all set but there's no playoff schedule out yet is there? I have a happy hour next Thursday and don't want to miss it.

Sounds like you'll be well prepared with a step on the rest of us.

Haha, except the game will be going on during the happy hour. It's budgeted till 8 but I wouldn't be surprised if some stay longer and I'm always the last one to go home.
Well, MSG currently has the 2nd and 4th plugged in. With an event on the 6th. Seems about right unless it gets changed to 3rd and 5th.

Plugged in, as in there will be another event on the 2nd and 4th? Ugh.

I've waited for the playoffs for years but at the same time I want to have a life outside of hockey.

Plugged in as in dates for game 1 and 2.

Rags choose their destiny, win and face Pittsburgh and Casey De Smith, lose and face the Capitals. Which team do you prefer?
