Does anyone actually miss Jordan Staal still?
I do, but I love what Sutter brings every night. Solid replacement, great work by Shero.

Sid got a second assist on the second dupuis goal. I missed it, is the assist legit?
Dupuis is not too shabby either most games...

That problem-- for the playoffs-- isn't limited to Crosby.
I posted this earlier . . . Shero could solve a lot of problems, including in his bottom six, by addressing L1 RW and L2 LW, then slotting Dupuis to L3 RW, sliding Beau to the bottom six for this go around (even Seguin played on the fourth line as a rookie during Boston's cup run), and putting Glass and Kennedy out of our misery.
I am beginning to think that I died and went to h*ll.
How about leaving Bennett on line 2, but giving him a safety net?
Trading Despres and Kennedy for Eriksson and Morrow
Kunitz-Sid-Eriksson
Bennett-Malkin-Neal
Cooke-Sutter-Dupuis
Morrow-Vitale-Adams
Morrow can spot on that 2nd line from time to time
Holy ****, just realised something...Crosby has 35 assists in 28 games. In 82 games he would have 90+. Crosby should get 55 by the time the season ends. 60 if he gets a few good games.. Mind=blown!
I just wish he was capable of raising his game when Malkin is out.
Crosby 100 assists
Malkin 100 goals
Orpik 1000 turnovers
How come every time I think "this game is a perfect example of why Dupuis doesn't belong on the first line" he scores twice in the dying minutes of the game?
I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.
I'm not saying this to be an ass, but I don't know a better way to say it:
watch Dupuis when he's not scoring goals (wait, this makes me sound like a moron, not an ass). He's killing offense in so many ways. We're not asking for a 50-goal scorer, just someone who makes smart decisions - WHEN YOU CONSIDER WHO IS ON HIS LINE.
ie: not ringing it around the boards on the rush, not pulling off a 100ft slapper when you've got a good entry, being able to consistently finish in close, etc.
Both times he did that it was at the end of their shift and led to an offensive zone face-off. It was a very smart play.
Dupuis sucks terribly at anything to do with offense that doesn't relate to shooting the puck quickly or maintaining a cycle. He's good at those things, but his play when he has the puck in open space is atrocious, especially in the neutral zone. Half the time he's barely able to get it to dribble off of his stick into Crosby's general direction.I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

I distinctly recall an instance of this from either tonight's game or the Bruins where Dupers could have sent the puck over to Crosby on the opposite boards, or held on to the puck and let the play develop (as Crosby would have). Instead he launches the puck well over the net and it ends around hard, easily bypassing even Crosby's superhuman retrieval skills and into the neutral zone for the opposing team to take possession. Both times he did that it was at the end of their shift and led to an offensive zone face-off. How bout that hit by Despres, you guys know the one.
I mentioned in the GDT that I can't remember the last time I saw a Pens defender stand up a guy at the blue line and dump him on his wallet. VERY impressive...
