Show me another example of a player getting denied an obvious point

The McDavid play is important, because every claim that people have for why it's not an assist on the Marner play also applies to the McDavid play, where it was an assist.
Based on the long established precedent in this league for what constitutes an assist and what breaks the assist chain, they made a mistake on the scoring of this play.

Every goal and assist is reviewed after the fact, and changed if necessary.

Kinda sucks. You can say the Hab player kicked it, ok fine. The only reason he kicked it, or lost it in his feet was Marner put it there. Matthews scooped and scored one motion. Mitch has been the team MVP this season. Deserves the assist.
 
Do people walk around saying how many 100 Point seasons Crosby didn’t have or how many Cups he has?
That’s what matters.
 
This reminds me of the 1874 season, when ol’ Gus McPuckerson was going for an unheard of 10 point season. He attempted to kick the puck to make a pass, and since skates we so cheaply made back then, his skate broke, flew off and chopped the goalies head off. Needless to say, the impending goal was called off and he never got his 10th point. Marner getting ripped off is just as tragic as this story

No my friend, they knew it was an assist and were about to change the official scoring when the Jeremy Jacobs texted Bill Daly who in turn emailed Gary Bettman who called the official scorer to ensure no Maple Leaf ever received a favourable ruling from them.

The fact that "Mitch has been the team MVP this season" really has nothing to do with the fact that he simply didn't earn an assist on that play.

Don't think this thread is worth it anymore with the playoffs coming.

As they say tough cookies. Sucks but 1000000% sure neither Marner nor the team cares anymore. Only playoffs matter now.

I was told by Shanny directly that Jacobs and Bettman are on da phone daily .. Bettman runs everything by Jacobs 1st before he even takes a sh*t .. Jacobs runs da show and Bettman does what he is told
