SJ is definitely sending a message here. I know the Kings, since DL arrived and became real contenders, have had a "team toughness" approach to defending themselves, but do you think John Scott requires bringing in our own "cement head"?

I think so, but then, i've always wanted them to have someone 6'4"+ ready to open a can of whip a$$ on someone deserving,

of course i'd rather have a cup than someone like Scott on the team, but what if he were to go after brownie like he went after kessel? i guess the kings would have to respond just as toronto did,

please feel free to open the link up for everyone,

Good signing by the Sharks. They'll need another tough guy after they trade Thornton.

No reason to. John Scott is a scary human... if he can catch someone. No one on the Kings will fight him, so let San Jose waste a roster spot for him and let the Kings and Ducks fight for the division title this year. I'd be shocked if he gets more than 20 games next year.

No response needed, when the Kings had one in Westgarth all that happened was he got his face beat in by Scott. What's he gonna do if no one wants to fight him, assault someone and earn a 5+game and a potential suspension? Just watch him struggle to catch up as you pirouette your way towards the net.

Are you serious? What's John Scott going to do to deter the Kings or help the Sharks? This post is a joke, right? This isn't 2003 where the Kings need cement heads like Flinn, Brennan and Norton in the lineup.

lol Jon Scott. the dude cant even skate.
and he's all hype. that aura about him has faded after getting pummeled by guys like Colton Orr and Justin Johnson of all people.

what's the point of having someone on the ice, when everyone else can skate around you, even the goalies, lol

poor Doug Wilson...he has the the whole idea of "changing the culture" wrong. maybe he should give Deano a call and get some lessons on how to build team culture... or better yet, how to build a team period.

I don't see how this is sending any message other than Wilson has a severe concussion. Scott adds zero to any lineup he's in, he's a headhunter and those days are just about over.
This Sharks team that can't get to the next ,championship level, for the last 9 years lacks leadership and if that is their solution, they'll be playing golf again next spring
He's got 6 career NHL points- he's not much of anything and of little value.
