I like this signing because it gives us size and improved depth down the middle, and it almost guarantees a Bozak trade.

I really like this signing by the Leafs and I hope this signals that a Bozak trade is also on the horizon now that Leaf have another center locked up for next season.

Excited to see Matthias in a Leaf jersey next year.

Like most of the signings this season this one strikes me as a: "I hope this guy has a decent season so we can trade him at the deadline" kind of deal. He is unlikely to do anything to ruin the tank which makes his addition ok with me.

This is why I don't get the Kadri signing. He had as many goals as Kadri, is a UFA and get about half. Kadri had no leverage, was coming off a poor season and got a big bump that will make his qualifying offer next year painful.
